Did the Ultramarines paint the helmets of their Veterans white or is that more of a post-heresy thing like with the red helmets on sergeants tradition? Would their Termies have white helmets?

Good question.

May be answered when the next HH book comes out, which will cover the Ultramarines and Calth.

Marneus Calgar is referred to as "one of the Imperium's greatest tacticians" and he treats the Codex like it's the War Bible. If the Codex is garbage, then how bad is everyone else?

He's talking about FW HH series. Not Black Library shenanigans

Gods? There are no gods. Merely existences, obstacles to overcome.

to be fair, they were a pretty good read, decent writing, a bit on the bolter porn side, but hey. That's how I like my 40k For the Emperor!

Red helmets were a mark of censure, so it was bad. But then again that was stole... I mean borrowed from the Night Lords Legion, who have the sinners mark to anyone that has committed grievous crimes. The primach would hold their sentence/life in limbo till he decided to collect.

Yeah, sorry. The Forgeworld Calth book Tempest, for the Horus Heresy 30K game. Not another novel, lol.
