The reason I have always skipped.reaper.kickstarters personally .is that while the price per model is usually great it'd false economy for me.as.I know full well I would probably.only use and.paint about half.if it so.for me waiting for retail is the better option. For this who want a gak load of assorted models howevef it's an utter bargain.

There is one at 1,100,000 so that's 60,000 not 110,000..

You fail at reading comprehension.

He said Townsfolk were in $10k from the $1,050,000 goal, which they were not, they are at $1,160,000, which is a difference of $110k.

A set I actually like. But I think I can still just wait till retail for these and cherry pick the ones I want. I might not save as much, but the piles (multiple s) won't get too much bigger.

I'm looking at the Bones Townfolk in the Reaper store, and they're $2.50 each. FRPGames has them for $2 before shipping (out of stock). The KS is selling human figures at about $1.25 each?

So if you're only interested in one or two of them, you should be good. Three or more, you're paying more in retail, sales tax, and/or shipping.

EDIT: Third preview of Victoria Miniatures!

I believe the reaper store also has free shipping at a certain level ($35?), however that's also at full msrp.

In other news, word from the KS comments is that expansions (as in Bones 2 style expansions) are coming.

And luckily with a short campaign, hopefully we won't be waiting long for them.

The thing is they could more than easily just throw some extra options up to get pledges moving if they wanted.

I'm sure Reaper knows how to get the money to move in the way they want.

It's just not fast enough for some of us more impatient types!

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

End of the week they're going to throw Victoria Lamb's artillery gun and crew into the mix, that should speed things up again.

I went ahead and upped my pledge with everything I wanted to help it move a little.

I have no need or place for that artillery piece, but I need it.

Wheel variants. Nice. I'll probably have to get one if it can be made to look more modern.

Good thing they stretched out those early goals to help with the pacing.

Seems to have a more coherent theme this time- these models are all monsters/villains at least.

I like the expansion (except the minotaur which is fine, but I have lots of Mierce resin ones)

I hope I keep liking all the add ons for it too and it might have to come my way along with the big gun collaboration from Victoria Miniatures

I'm kind of glad they did it that way, unironically.

Look at it this way; if they sort out that it'd cost 75k to do a figure (molds and materials, etc), having that clear during the beginning when funding is fast and furious makes sense. Doing it at the end is also fine, but there's only so much you want to back-load things, and doing it in the middle would be even worse.

Hopefully getting the first expansion popped out will help as well.

The expansion looks decent so far, but I really wish they wouldn't waste so many stretch goal slots drawing out the rest of its contents. That's just pointless when we all know they aren't going to leave any expansion half-unlocked at closing time.

Anyway, the Worzel lensdragon and the brain in the jar are must buys for me, and the bear would really appeal to my son. I think the succubus has enough attitude to pull off the outfit without it coming across as insulting fanservice for my wife.

Treeman is cool but kind of random. The armadillo can team up with Bebop and some of the mutant turtles. I wouldn't throw away Nazi Minotaur, but I don't feel like he adds a whole lot of value to the set, either.

The gremlin-goblin-munchie-gnome-named-Gnorm things are going right to the dog bowl.

Three whole miniatures based on a forgotten Tim Burton movie? What is this, a Hot Topic?

Worzel's a good guy. Just because he assisted at least one genocide does not make him a villain.

Took me a minute to remember the Tim Burton reference, Bob. I think this is the first time I have ever seen anyone mention it. There are a few resemblances there.

Tree-man is a nod to those of us in the comments section asking for plant monsters. There will likely be more. There's probably another Direbear in the mystery sections as well since they had 2 on show at Reapercon. Nightmare Before Christmas isn't really forgotten but it's more based on 9 and actual golems. Reaper is heavily invested in RPG minis and this time around they're hitting up a number of golems and lycanthropes that are common.
A huge portion of stuff you're seeing is a direct result of people in comments requesting things, so if you want to see something come throw your vote in. Just be mindful that it's frowned upon to trash talk what others are wanting to see.. at least there.

So, if I ask for not-Al Leong henchmen, there's a chance they might make some?

1% is still a chance right?

I kid.. people asked for non-human townsfolk on day..1 or 2.. then they popped up a few days later.. so yeah, there is a chance..

Having read the reaper update about the expansion I'm now kinda hoping we get castle Stoneskull.

Everyone wants more terrain, a bones castle would be pure awesome.

it's the quiet ones you have to look out for. Their the ones that change the world, the loud ones just take the credit for it.

I'd be sold on it. Currently only in for the dragon rider and stone circle myself.

If they do do a castle, I hope it's more generic. Castle Stoneskull sounds like it might look like a GW piece.

Expensive too. Dragons Don't Share comes with a $75 price tag, and isn't even a full castle.
