I already have lots of painted Plague and yet the new 3rd gens make me feel need.

Hmm I might get the new Nexus psi if it reviews well. Failing that, in more inclined to just house rule the version I have

Except "Later" isn't explained as "soon for pre-order alongside the bundles" or "months after everyone else has actually had the release".

I love DZ stuff. To the point where I have mounds of stuff still to paint. I'm not spending £35 on a bundle for a 48 page paperback book. I could go back to GW if I wanted to bend over than badly.

No Nexus Psi wasn't part of the second KS this is an outside KS revamp to update it to 2.0 rules.

Of course not. How foolish of me to think that the 2.0 revamp we paid for would revamp all of the 1.0 rules we paid for first time around to 2.0.

Almost as foolish as thinking that everything would be in one book, which also was a stated project goal. Or that it would be the same game, just polished, which was also a stated project goal. Go figure.

Nexus Psi will have some new content, not just the old stuff reworked. I helped to proofread it months ago, it is a really great piece of work, 100% written by a member of the RC, and edited by the rest of us.

Here's what to expect:

- Linked narrative campaign.
- Zombie AI rules.
- Solo Zombie campaign.
- New elite army lists.
- Deadzone rules for new Warpath models.
- New exploration table, rules for campaigns set on Nexus Psi.

Very good book, lots of gaming content there, including some stuff for people who want to play solo.

Infestation and Nexus Psi are an example of the kind of continued support that Deadzone will be getting, with expansions, new models and rules.

Are those all 'production plastics' too?

The Hornet, Mule and marines are preproduction prints, the rangers on the left are new and could be plastic as they have sample sprues now.

Still very nice looking models.

I'm not a huge fan of the "long face" aesthetic of the flyer - and it kinda reminds me of the Blight Drones - but the paint makes it and the buggy look very nice. The figures look a little busy in the photos, but that's probably the black lining plus the distance from the camera. I'm sure they look great up close.

I skipped warpath but I could see getting all of that at retail.

I still don't think I see the mule hauling 10 dudes around and the flyer is chubby and doesn't look like it would be especially good at flying, but I still like them.

You're right on both counts, but I'm willing to give them a pass on those points based on the Rhino and Pick your SM flyer. But yeah. it could do with a much better cockpit.

I feel like it could do with being another 20% longer, or 20% shorter.

I wouldn't disagree with either of those.

I feel better and better about my planned Hyperion GCPS force. Might look around for alternate heads, though, just so I can have two different varieties of 'faceless corporate mooks' for marines and rangers.

So when exactly are the GCPS shipping next year?

That veer-myn tunneller looks ace, and as someone already noted it doesn't look too "veermy" ( ) to begin with, so I guess they will indeed find their way into more than one battlefield out there.

According to Matt in response to my question in the KS update - Wave 2 will be sometime after CNY, but they don't know what will be in which waves yet - or perhaps better put don't have a list for us - since whatever is going out in Octember will be the stuff they already have by now.

Nice pics, looks like a pretty solid job on all the vehicles. Wouldn't have minded more faces on the front of those ships but I'm happy with what we got.

Are those vehicles cheap enough to make good ruined terrain pieces?

Only if you bought them at KS prices. And even then they weren't super cheap.
