I had heard stories the ammo feeds were an abomination to fit.

'abomination'.....yup...that's pretty much the best word for it!!! Thought had them sorted.....then when I fit lower body on, found that no, no they still weren't working......think I have it just about sorted now....ish....

The painting is going to be slow and steady on this one as he's a comp entry and want to really push the boat on this fella. It is a bloody lovely model......ammo belts aside ^_-

The Skitarii are coming along great, and I really like your Chicken Lancer thing. That Thanatar is a whole other kettle of amazing and intimidating, though...

Cheers Az. Chicken Little, as I've now found myself calling him, is one of my favs. Skits are getting there, need to push some shadow glazes on their robes and then it's just detailing. The Thantar is a 'brute beast and a redcoat' ......well, a greycoat when I get finished with him. Such a gorgeous model. Want to get my hands on some of the new domitar automata too .....as some point. No AdMech tonight though. Space Hulk termie is on the deck

I love the look of the Thantar robot , and the Skitari are beautiful, so nice to see a color other than red for Admech. Also digging the Ikea cabinets that you have in your other blog. Ilea just opened here a few months ago and I want to snag one of those....or 12.

Cheers Thge agreallan earth paint hadnt quite dried. Has now and looks the business. It's the large oval base size that comes with the big fella as standard

The boys are coming together. Made a start on the basing. That new mech grey spray is a godsend. Lovely spray. Great coverage and finish.

No Onager yet. Really want one though. Gorgeous model and I'll definetly be getting one eventually but still on a buying freeze until I get more of my backlog painted up

I understand your pain, and have seen your "to do" list in your other thread and given your quality and attention to detail that should take some time. Damned miniature companies and their beautiful designs.

Yeah, great work on those bases. Which crackle medium did you use?

Cheers Az. I used agrellan earth over a layer of pva. You seem to get much bigger and better cracks if you put a thinned layer of pva down first and the paint doesnt flake off after drying too
