So as a generic weapon to model on my secondary sorcerer, would a Force axe or a force Mace be more.... useful.

The sorcerer itself is mainly taken for its extra ML and potential for rolling Invisibility.

The "primary" Sorcerer I include has a Force Sword. The secondary sorcerer is just that, an extra buff for my CSM warband.

The main HQ is a PF LC biker lord, for the best of boths.

I have a spare power axe, and power maul as potential weapons for the next HQ choice.

What seems like the better pick?

I usually take the axe on my sorceror for the ap2

Aftermath can be calculated.

I take the Axe as well. First because I don't really like the aesthetic of the Maul and second because it has AP2.

I usually use a Force Staff since my Sorcerers often roll on Biomancy. If you pull Iron Arm, it's AP2 anyway and S9 is nothing to laugh at.

Tier 1 is the new Tactical.

Yah, depends if you are rolling on telepathy or biomancy.

Invisibility is godly, but endurance and enfeeble are pretty good as well

That's 1 attack at ap2 s9.

With the Axe its 2+ attacks at s8 ap2 but your going last. Throw in warp speed and ouch.

My main sorc runs the Axe and murdersword so its the best of both.

Eye of Terror

Fishing for a specific psychic power is risky. You're not always going to get iron arm or endurance. The axe with force up is always a good thing.

The sorcerer gets all his attacks at S9, AP2. The S9 comes from Iron Arm plus Staff (S+3 and S+2 respectively). The AP2 comes from having the smash rule base. Warpspeed buffs both weapons attacks equally, but the mace benefits more from the INT bonus.

Yah, Warpspeed+Iron arm is a thousand times better on a staff than on an axe

Having the smash USR gives AP 2 on all attacks. It allows you to replace your attacks with a single "smash" attack. Look it up if you need to.

I was under the assumption that monstrous creatures get ap2 and smash which was the single double strength ap2 attack. Not that the ap2 was given by having smash.

If it is true then murdersword / power Axe together sounds even better.

Monstrous Creatures get AP2 from Smash. You then get the option to trade all your attacks for a single, more powerful one.
