Yeah and if you look to the far left of the Warhammer Visions cover it looks like the new Commander. It's larger than the other new XV8s, smaller than the riptide next to it, and has a thicker more elaborate pelvis motor/crotch guard.

The plastic Pathfinder kit is fairly new and of good quality so I don't think they would replace it so quickly. Also Pathfinders have lighter armor which is noticeable in the legs and arms compared to Fire Warriors. I doubt they would include extra sets of legs considering that legs are the main limiting factor for making extra Fire Warriors or Pathfinders with the current model range.

Good lord, that thing is ugly. I like the chest compared with the normal riptide and the over the shoulder gun the macrossy missile arms are just horrible looking. Maybe Paulson will save the day on that one.
That one is alot better. Is that on a 60mm base so it's as big as a riptide? Also, is anyone getting a Dawn of War vibe from that?
It's obviously not an exact match but that is the first thing that came to mind.

Are the crisis suits different in that pic as well? It looks like they have a waist as well as a shoulder pad in the background of the missiletide pic but I can't tell if that is just the guy's converted suits or a real new one.

I did, but drones have always been fairly use impaired so I wasn't too excited to have another half dozen unpainted ones sitting around.

Honestly the biggest suit (which i probably wouldn't of gotten anyway) is the only donkey in those pictures all the other suits are fethin awesome.

I think the problem with the Stormsurge is the tiny head sitting on top of the oversized chest and the BattleTech missile boat style weapon loadout. The head can barely see anything with all that junk blocking its LoS. Without the head it looks exactly like a BattleTech mech and more fitting in the Imperium's arsenal. If I got one (unlikely as I love the old school Tau design of FWs, Crisis Suits, Pathfinders, Broadsides, and Hammerheads.) I might just not include the head at all.

Yeah, in the picture of the Ghostkeel where it's in the background and you can't really see the head, the torso reminds me a bit of Cherno Alpha from Pacific Rim.

Er, or it's a rejig of the fact that early on the Pulse Carbines came with Underslung Photon Grenade Launchers?
With that said:
These are gorgeous! Kinda jealous of Tau players now, because the Ghostkeel looks like an amazing kit to build/airbrush.

There is infinity other reasons why i hate it.
how impractically impractical it is. for all that non direct fire power they bother putting it on a MC chassis. it would of been better suit for a grav platform like a hammer head.
i still hate the separate weapon chest systems,
it has a tiny head
it has a terrable pose
it looks like some dude chucked bits on it
it has a LOT of unique looking equipment.
it lacks any sort of arm. or manipulator. (the second it falls over its out of action.....)
i dont mind the torso and leg shape on there own. but the weapon system being on the arm and it not having any arms bothers me too much.

If you remove the head from the storm sruge, and place it to the side on top as a laser targeter it looks fantastic and reminiscent of the OGRE TITAN from TITANLFALL.
I like it, but the head on the captain class crisis suit is a mess, that looks like a hot mess of kit bashing.

Yeah, I've been wondering if GW was going to start reigning in the codex creep a bit or if they were doubling down of FOTM overpowered nonsense. I fear that question has been answered.
Guess there's always the CSM codex to start halting the codex creep.
Anyways, with that big suit, I'd be shocked if it wasn't a 2+ armor, T7-8, 4++, str D blast. Hell, it'll probably be ~350 points to boot.
It damn well better have WS1 at the very least, or perhaps even WS0, because IT HAS NO ARMS.
