Hey Guys. I'm really new to WH40k but i've read the rulebook, chosen my army (Space Wolves), and began building them up. My only issue now is finding someplace to play where the people are friendly to newbies. I only know of one Games Workshop store but I was wondering if there any others. I apologize if this isn't the right place to put this post but I'm just eager to start playing.

I'm not so sure about the city but I know there are a few places in Brooklyn and Queens you might be able to play at. If not Long Island which might be a bit too far for you depending on where you are.

I don't know anything about New York. However, there is a subforum that you can check right here: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/forums/show/13.page

People post the area they are from and what games that would like to play. I would post there and do a search to see if someone already has. Try PMing people that posted there.

I play on LI at A Store of Fire & Dice.
