Hi all

This is my final entry, I was going to name him as the Tanith Master Sniper 'Mad' Hlaine Larkin but I figured I'd let you all decide if he deserves that honor (and if I've capture the fluff right for him). If not he can just be a generic Tanith sniper. I bit of a change for me since I'm used to Orks.

I'm away for the the next 2 weeks so Good Luck to everyone I'm looking forward to seeing some finished entries. Hopefully I'll be able to view them properly and vote on my phone.

I haven't got the funds for a proper camera yet also a massively annoying mishap happened right at the end, without noticing I got glue on my finger and stuck myself to his head. Which is why the left side of his head has some weird lines on (my fingerprints), I was too short on time to try and fix it.

Enjoy

Nice job with the camo and the base looks like you really put some time into it.

"The space marine officer was waving and yelling to his men on the wall unaware he was leading the Squiggoth on. Stompy (the squiggoth) headbutted its way through the wall and gave chase to the terrified commander as he ran up seven tiers of the fortress, trying to close gates behind him and ordering men to cover his fight. In the end, stompy cornered and pulverised the officer in the heart of the citadel as thousands of orks poured through the breaches he had left behind."

Some great entries this month as well! My fav so far is Kustomer D's diorama! Captures the theme perfectly. Well done!

I have recently ventured into Malifaux and decided to paint up one of my Resurrectionists for this month's challenge. Model is called Sebastian (plastic version) and he works the morgue, sneaking about with a giant saw. I'll be trying out some new techniques including painting blood splatter by flicking paint from a dry brush (watch that big white apron) and experimenting with mixing in red and blue when painting skin (he has a very big face). It will be fun to see how he turns out!

Proof: Primed Sebastian

So, I've finished on time after all!

Here is my sneaky Djanbazan Sniper from the Haqqislam faction of Infinity. A very effective model with his Multi-Spectral Visor and Regeneration! Every since I first saw it, I knew I wanted to do something special for the base. Hope you like it!

Great to see the other entries. Inspiring stuff!

Almost done, Looks like I’ll be able to finish by the deadline. I was worried about that, lots of stuff going on this month. Just need to look him over once more, then base and glue the backpack on. Not as happy with him as some of my previous entries, but he’s a workable table-top.

Need to get some new lightbulbs for the photo shoot. And maybe a new backdrop. Not sue how well he’s show up on white.

@Arclaw: That is an amazing sniper! I had forgotten about that model, but now I want it again! Darn, my wallet hurts...

@Paradigm: I hope you are right! I am really looking forward to painting some of the models in my Crew. I am also looking forward to get some games! Never have time for 40k these days, but Malifaux seems to play really fast.

@Januine: I agree, that grin is just lovely!

There's some great stuff here!

My entry is a trio of the old Epicast Termites, which are based on the old Epic Termite Tunnelers. This being mid-90s resin, the level of detail didn't increase much between epic scale and 28mm! Still, I had them on hand, and I'm painting them a sassy red and yellow to match my Praetorian Regiment. If I ever played them, it would probably be with the Hades breaching Drill rules, which while certainly not "stealthy" is... unexpected.

Spoiler:

To give an idea of the army they will ride with, here is a shot of a veteran squad with Chimera. They can swap that for one of the Termites now!

Derp, think I missed out on this one... Are we still doing polls for the next month or has that be streamlined/changed?

Great work Arclaw. What did you use for the tan colour on the right arm btw?

There is a poll up somewhere GrimDork, I think "mechanized" is the winner already though.

I also doubt I am going to make this one, but I might at least get the LSS done v0v

Well, it's 'rise of the machines', so anything robotic, cyborg or otherwise mechanical will do!

Close, it's "Rise of the machines", can include cybords, augments, tech, vehicles, etc.
Bit more scope.

Love the drills! I picked up the Hades Breaching Drill on Saturday and wish I'd grabbed it in time for this contest.

I've got too many ideas to pick from next month.

Every time I come to this thread I wonder why I bother painting, compared to the rest of you. But it does inspire me to try new things, and work harder to improve. So, to all of you, thanks!

Final pic time. Only kinda happy with this guy, but part of that is the finecast bits I noticed never got cleaned up right. Oh well. He’s at a decent table-top, so can see some use as soon as I paint up his four friends.

Looks kind of like winter tundra camo, snowy but with some brown showing due to melts and stuff. Good stuff.

Anath'lan looks good to me! Cool model, and solid paint work. Dark colors seem to fit the sculpt well too.

Aww heck, I'll give it a shot. I'll enter with my Nomad Zeros with e/mauler. She was undercoated white and had been sitting with a bit of grey base coat till now. Adding color as we speak people, as we speak.
