I think I shall the problem being is that I'm the only player who runs any of the armies back at my club. So they have to barrow my armies.

Good to see you posting here still, Adder Ant, you're Dakka's source for Avatars of War info! (If I remember right, Adder Ant is actually local to them, which is awesome)

It is a good time to have an alternate fantasy ruleset, but there is a lot of competition with other companies putting out or updating their fantasy rulesets, too, to embrace the AoS refugees

I view more as an opportunity for the rest of us to finally be free to try different things than settling on one main ruleset

Has anyone gotten their limited igg bsb yet? I've emailed them several times, but never any response...

I've emailed several times and never seen mine. I've honestly given up and won't ever purchase their products ever again.

I'll be darned. Felix emailed me last night and asked for my indegogo account name and stated he would ship as soon as he got it. I emailed back this morning so fingers crossed.

And he did credit Adder Ant with being the person who got advised him of the issue which I appreciate Adder Ant

You should probably post a short summary of the rules in this thread. Most people don't randomly read entire rules sets.

It works better if you explain a little about the game and why they should be interested. There are so many rules sets and games out there that you need to do more than just toss the rules out in the ether to entice people to try them.

Did they finish delivering on the kickstarter or is the standard bearer the only thing they've finished in the last year or two since I last heard about them in a dakka thread?

You're the man, Adder Ant! Btw if any of you late receivers are no longer wanting your BSB let me know and I'll take it off your hands

I'm not sure if there were still more units to sculpt, warboss - the ones I saw looked great but I was really looking forward to the "dwarfs in bear disguise" unit . I think this campaign was like Trollforged, well meaning but bit off a lot at once, so taking a long time to finish.

I am open to the ruleset, have been leading towards Mantic's but you're right, the more the merrier! I do like AoW's figures better, but I don't think the rules have gotten as adopted in the states yet.

I've skimmed the rules and one of the army lists.

Looks more complicated and more fiddly than WHFB.

I appreciate the printer-friendliness of the pdf.

Isn't there another rule set for smaller games, an Avatars of Skirmish if you will? I thought it took place in an arena.

The formation stuff vaguely reminds me of some fake AoS rumours.

You mean that you think what will really happen is even more stupid than ever imagined like with AOS rumors and the pancake edition of 40k?
