Yeah, I can't imagine 32mm. The models aren't that big.

The dias is where the Emporer sits.

The special AoS terrain pieces each have a special rule giving some kind of area buff, as well as blocking LoS for shooting, and impeding movement. IDK what the situation is for models wanting to attack a model in the middle, and not being able to get physically close enough because the pillars block the edges.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

Although it looks like you'll probably have a set of repeated sprues, the pictures they've got up at the moment show the same one twice - which clearly doesn't match up with the models you can make.

Wow. I've painted one of the marauders out of the starter set. I was pleasantly surprised by how good the anatomy was on him. Much better and more realistic musculature than I've come to expect from GW and their ever increasing focus on power armour.

Those studio paintjobs make what I know should be good sculpts look like absolute gak.

Oh, I certainly vote with my dollar, but the problem is that that is not enough. The problem with the 'vote with your dollar' response is that it doesn't take into account why we're not buying the product. I want to enjoy 40k enough to buy back in. It was my introduction to traditional games, and there was a time when I enjoyed it very much. I want to buy 40k, but Gamesworkshop is doing their very best to push me away, and simply not buying their product won't tell them that.

I think in the WD they call it the "Pestilens Clan" of the Skaven or some such.

The scenery kits are really terrific. Said it before but its by far one of GWs strongest points, from 40k to Fantasy. The detail on the new ones is top notch. Time to place an order methinks.

Also love the new stormcast paladin thingys - sorely tempted to pick up a kit and create some 40k Custodians, they fit exceptionally well.

If censor bearers are this price, anyone want to hazard a guess at repackaged globadiers later on???

Also, if anyone buys a plague monk kit you get a few censors in there anyway, so use those and avoid the cost.

Meh, metals off Ebay for me circumvent all that bother. Not only for the ludicrous price, but Finecast chains on a model? Yikes!

Didn't the plague monk box actually have a few censers in there, or were those meant to just be generic maces?

Now that I don't need to bother ranking everything up my rats are getting put in all kinds unrankable poses and those mace things are most certainly going to be considered censers.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

And looks like the Plague Censer Bearers and the Plague Monk are on 32mm bases... interesting.

But yeah, the price of the PCBs... yeah... eBay ftw.

Sames £40 straight away.

However, I think it's a misprint and should be 5 for £20.

I see the limited edition book comes with an exclusive set of 8 scenarios. Anyone have any information on this? Are they reprints from the book or actual exclusive scenarios?

Gw words things wierd sometimes and the didnt say exclusive scenarios... they said an exclusive set of scenarios. Could just mean how they are being presented.

If they are exclusive to 1000 then I'll buy it as scenario variety is what keeps aos fresh.

I'm wondering if the new smallest-sized bases in AoS will be the 32mm ones the Bloodreavers are on.

I picked up some Bloodletters to go with the Khorne force but their bases are so tiny. Wondering if I want to rebase. Technically, small bases help me getting them into combat, but I have problems with the inconsistency.

What I was gonna do if I rebase my armies is have anything that was on a 25mm square like orcs or sauruses go on a 32mm round and anything on a 20mm square like goblins and skinks will get a 25mm round.

I suggest rebasing everything on jigsaw pieces,

just for the fun of it since bases don't matter, and watch people get confused over what advantage they're giving you

Were I not so concerned with the aesthetics my minis I might give this a try. Imagine that if you put all the pieces together properly that it put them all in a formation on a battlefield scene or something appropriate for the faction.

Back on topic thought, strange how they made the box of khorne guys "reasonably" priced but then jack up the price on the plague monks who are still finecast so obviously not sold enough to clear the stock of them. Its like GW make a good move then make a knuckle headed move, rinse and repeat.

Unless I'm missing something, "dais" is the correct spelling for "a low platform for a lectern, seats of honor, or a throne."

It is, but people have been writing "Dias", like Juan Dias. I don't know why it can't be a "Chaos Daemonic Dais", for the inevitable "Choas Deamonic Dias"...

That would be Diaz with a "z", not an "s".
