This is the first multi-part plastic character for the Khorne Bloodbound, this is truly terrifying model holding a huge Runious Axe and ready to take on the forces of the Stormcast Eternals it will make a great addition to any customers Bloodbound force.

Also, a whole bunch of Nurgle units are getting repackaged/re-based.

I looked at that model in the store, wondering whether it would look decent without the flail bits or the red skin. I don't think that he is salvageable, to be honest. Truly atrocious.

Skaar is fine. Just snip off the flail parts (it's not tough at all) and use the human head that is unmasked. I'm quite happy with mine.

Actually, some of the armor was optional too. I left most of it off. He's very toned down.

GW loves them some KHORNE and NURGLE - so I'd say we're pretty much guaranteed some new NURGLE units down the line.

It isn't a matter of 'if', it is a matter of 'when'!

Now TZEENTCH and SLAANESH on the other hand...

As someone who just started a Nurgle army to oppose my Wind of Life based Stormcast Eternal army, I'm hype.

Also I assume Tzeentch will get some love soonish considering his forces play a huge role in the Quest for Ghal Moraz.

What exactly would a Tzeench mortal army look like? A bunch of tengu guys? Dudes with bird themed armor? Hmm. That could actually be kind of cool.

Kensei or Bushido or one of those feudal Japan skirmish games has a bunch of Tengu/ Tengu- themed warriors coming out.

There's your Tzeentch bird themed army basis, since GW seems like they won't be bothered to do something with the Lord of Change anytime soon.

(For the record I also like Skarr in all his over the top goodness. Just need to find him for a reasonable price now!)

A Tzeentchi champion model for this guy too maybe? Purely speculation at this point, but since GW seems to be on a "artwork of products only" vibe lately, it seems plausible?

BIG OL' IMAGE

Meh. Buff generic demon with yet another stupid topknot (or is that the skulls hair?). Nice Axe, though.

On a someone related note, did GW hire Rob Liefeld or something?

The model has no pouches, and has feet. I don't see the comparison.

His stupidly large (like stupidly stupidly large) ax is clearly two handed, but he has another weapon attached to his other arm with an inbuilt handle? Ignoring the fact that the ax is too big (he is demon so magic or something?) how on earth does he use his other and with the ax.

Also his muscle on the claw arm is growing over the straps...

Not a fan at all.

That is a very well executed plastic model. But the design does leave me feeling like it's lacking... a lot of GW's lately have done so - I guess I'm just not onboard with the direction they're heading (doesn't necessarily make it a bad one).

I see what you're saying about the strap- but given how his arm is positioned, you do kinda lose sight of the strap a little bit cause it's right up to the elbow. Not really an issue.

As for the axe- he looks pretty well imbued by the power of Khorne. Though the grip on his claw kinda gets in the way of holding the axe 2 handed.

The big question is will he cost less than 40 dollars US?

I wouldn't mind seeing a model of the crazy eyeball guy.

Looking at human muscles it would be impossible for the strap to have a muscle mushroom over it. Especially at the bend of the arm on the model. Unless the arm is growing around the strap (but then horrible infections arise from that)... Not a huge issue but I like my models to look normal, so these things stick out to me.

I don't know if you have seen a real war ax, but they are tiny (because they are heavy) in the head, but as I said he can possible have the excuse of a demon power or something. However there is no way I can see so far that it would be possible for him to use it 2 handed with his other weapon in the way.

The model is nice from a quality standpoint, but the design is just way off. Kinda like a lot of new GW models to be honest.

i don't see how the axe is too big...
i am a fan of over-the-top weapon sizes...
i do agree that the inbuilt handle on the other arm's weapon makes the composition look wrong...
he should be able to use the axe two-handed:(...

the muscle is not growing over the strap, it is in the crook of his elbow, with the bicep flexed and bulging over the strap because of the 90 degree bend...
that part looks good, but the hand grip is definitely an issue...

i like that this guy isn't extruding skulls from his stomach like the starter set Lord...
the paintjob on his flesh is also really nice...

this guy looks much nicer than the direction that the End Times Khorne models took...
Khorne is my favorite Chaos God, but even i couldn't get into the Bloodmongers, or Skaar...
this guy is much more appealing...

i wonder if we will see a mounted Khorne Lord, since the starter box had a mounted Stormcast Eternal Lord, and then a clampack Lord on foot...
maybe we will get a cool plastic Jugger Lord...
not that it would be easy to top Jes' metal one, but plastic is just so much more user-friendly to work with...
should be an interesting month...

cheers

Model is amazing. I dont like how tall the hair thing is, but really thats one quick snip fix.

Also I dont think he muscle is growing over the leather strap, he simply has a strap high on his forarm and his bicep is pressing up on it. If you have ever given blood they put that tape around arm and if you bring your arm up your bicep covers it.

I think its executed well.
