That's a fun idea!

Another option is to base them on 2 foot square MDF, since you are allowed to stack bases to move models within the required distance. This also has the advantage that you can make really quite impressive dioramas on the bases.

Any rumours on whos getting a bump next, nurgle/khorne obivously but after that?
Do we expect every single range to get a serious revamp or?

I see the limited edition book comes with an exclusive set of 8 scenarios. Anyone have any information on this? Are they reprints from the book or actual exclusive scenarios?

Gw words things wierd sometimes and the didnt say exclusive scenarios... they said an exclusive set of scenarios. Could just mean how they are being presented.

If they are exclusive to 1000 then I'll buy it as scenario variety is what keeps aos fresh.

They're not exclusive sets of scenarios.

They're reprints from the book, to give you an easy reference guide--at least that's what I was told.

So by how much, roughly, did the Censer Bearers go up?

And did the Screaming Bell go up in price?

Unless I'm missing something, "dais" is the correct spelling for "a low platform for a lectern, seats of honor, or a throne."

It is, but people have been writing "Dias", like Juan Dias. I don't know why it can't be a "Chaos Daemonic Dais", for the inevitable "Choas Deamonic Dias"...

That would be Diaz with a "z", not an "s".

Uhm 31 quid for 20 plague monks and 46 for 20 bloodreavers?
Have I missed something?
Thats damn good value to be fair.

Not sure if serious, but plague monks are a much older kit with less detail, and are smaller models to boot. The difference in price seems reasonable to me.

But like you said the value is certainly there. I'm not a fan of GW right now but I have to say that these boxes are a (small) step in the right direction.

In USD it's $35 for 20 plague monks, $41 for Dryads, and $58 for 20 bloodreavers, so the price difference would seem to account for that.

I think $1.75 per model is as cheap as we've seen GW models in a really long time, though, and $2.05 and $2.90 per model is pretty decent too. I mean, it should satisfy people who constantly look at that metric, and claim that a game piece is just a game piece. It's not like plague monks are really junky models -- but I do agree that they're older and far less detailed than new models.

I also think that at these prices, the models become attractive as game pieces that some people want for other game systems, too.

Next week have some Nurgle stuff as shown on last page of White Dwarf, so not an entire "Khorne Month". Probably just a repack of ET stuff on my opinion... but still cannot wait to see if rumor about new GUO are true!

I'm quite curious as to the Ghal Maraz campaign now.

I wonder if Sigmar gets his hammer back, or if his enemies end up with it. Maybe I'll buy the book as a gift for my wife and borrow it

I wonder if the LE book will sell out

Makes sense because all those Skaven units that went up for preorder last week count as Nurgle units now.

The Skaven stuff, like they Syvaneth are just repacks though (yeah, new quantities and whatnot, but they're still the same models). You never know, might be something new for Nurgle coming up

Saw some folks yesterday playing AoS with rebased Skaven to round; they look pretty good on round bases, I think.

The repacks probably don't count as new releases. It looks like repacks are being done alongside actual new released probably so gw can get as much stuff out as quickly as possible. So in a way it I a khorne month as they are the new releases. Personally I think its a good thing. First book brought sylvaneth and they got their rereleased alongside new stuff. This book out Saturday is skaven focused and they are getting their releases again alongside actual new releases. GW are capitalizing on what they are doing which makes a massive change but a good one.

And to be fair to GW a lot, though not all, of the re-packs are costing money in terms of new AOS branded packaging for no increase in cost. The addition of round/oval bases is neither here or there as the style of base is irrelevant but the added value in the likes of the additional Dryad miniatures or savings in the Forest Spirit Warhost shows that it is not all about the money.

The cost of the Stormcast Eternal infantry boxes is a different kettle of fish though.

The picture is only 2, but if you click through it's 5 dudes for £20.

Dunno about you folks down under, but Censer Bearers actually went DOWN in price a little for the US. Screaming Bell and everything else stayed the same.

It looks like Nurgle's forces (Bloodbound equivalent) are being called the Rotbringers. Its possible we could see new Nurgle units down the line (which would be awesome.)

Ah that makes more sense now. They've changed that, then. It definitely said 2 the other day, I remember checking because I was so shocked by the price for 2, and it definitely said 2 in the description then.

Yeah, they updated it and it says 5 now on the US site too. It did originally say two but I think they only uploaded the price and photo and just copy pasted the description. So it's actually a slight price drop if I'm doing the math right.

GW loves them some KHORNE and NURGLE - so I'd say we're pretty much guaranteed some new NURGLE units down the line.

It isn't a matter of 'if', it is a matter of 'when'!

Now TZEENTCH and SLAANESH on the other hand...
