I watched it last night and I definitely heard the other one, TGE.

I can definitely confirm '#driveby' as I get the close captioning devices at the theater.

Saw it yesterday. I expected it to be good after all the positive reviews and the awesome trailers and it didn't disappoint. I loved Deadpool, and Colossus has always been one of my favorite X-Men so it was nice to see him get some significant screen time. I liked Negasonic Teenage Warhead and it was cool to see what they could do with a not even third string X-Man. I thought she was a good fit for the film.

The only reason why you guys like this movie is because of the "R rated nature comic movie".

As a movie of any substance it sucked hard.

It was total comic porn. There was total frontal nudity, both male (deadpool) and female genitalia (stripper scene). Violence porn...people were laughing at the violence as though it were funny..which is scary in my opinion.

I should have learned my lesson from Watchmen which, unlike this mess of a movie, I thought was well done, but should have heeded the R rating and skipped it. I couldn't believe someone brought their 13 or 14 year old kid to see this (2 seats over from me).

Seriously besides the gratuitous violence, sex and swearing, what else makes this film good?

I can't really find one redeeming thing about it.

I have to admit some of the comedy was funny, but it did go way over the top 90% of the movie. which I guess is why you guys liked it ?

Exactly.

Also, an R rated mainstream comic book movie is a fething unicorn nowadays.

I'm trying to figure out what the point is here.

This is like complaining that people only like "Once Upon A Time In The West" because it's a Spaghetti Western. Or that people only like Frozen because it's an animated Disney princess movie full of musical numbers.

Actually no, we like it because it was a funny and enjoyable movie. With good action scenes and genuinely funny comedy.
They nailed the character of deadpool. Of course if you don't like deadpool then deadpool isn't the movie for you.

Violence porn...people were laughing at the violence as though it were funny..which is scary in my opinion.

You realise its a movie and movie violence isn't real Right?

Honestly sounds like you dislike sex and violence in movies and that's fine but just because you don't see anything good about the movie doesn't mean others don't. Why go see R rated movies if you are sqeemish about the kinds of things are rated movies contain?

All I'm saying guys, is that the only appeal of this movie is for people that like gratuitous sex and violence. If you remove all that, all you have is a generic, sub par superhero movie. I like to go to movies to see stories, that mean something. Not just a bunch of frat humor, and slicing people up...you know because it's cool to go around and stick people with swords and stuff, and it's real funny to show how a guy can get shot up his bung hole...

Like I said..at least the watchmen had a decent story behind it.

Netflix's Daredevil. While not a movie, it is certainly the prettiest unicorn of them all.

Except nothing you said is true. You are assigning reasons that you think other people like it so you can complain that they like it. If you didn't like it that's fine no one cares. I could say the only reason you didn't like it is because you are a prude but that would be equally bs. We all like different things for different reasons don't assigning other people reasons for liking something to them because you are unhappy that people like something you don't like.

Except that's not what you are doing because you are telling people they only like the movie because of x or y. You are not just expressing your disappointment but also trying to tell everyone else that if it didn't have tits in it they wouldn't enjoy either.

No. If you were just voicing your dissent, that'd be fine. Instead you go on a rant and accuse everyone who liked it of being psychopathic childish perverts. Who's the child?

No, you're purposefully getting people's backs up by saying it was a bad movie and they only liked it because boobs and blood. Which is a ridiculous stance to hold if you then come back and try and say "I'm just saying I didn't like it". Trying to aggravate people like that isn't a very constructive posting habit.

In all fairness, there was just a 10 or so comment exchange over the exact verbiage of a fart joke.

It sounds like it delivered everything the trailers promised.

Take your high horse somewhere else. Reported for your poor attitude. If you had any common sense, you'd have known before going in that this movie was not made for someone with your particular views. Almost everyone loved this, and it was the second highest grossing comic movie weekend ever. Or did everyone in the world just love "comic porn", as you put it.

I spoke to a few people at work about it and my advice was basically this:

It's a Deadpool movie. It has gratuitous violence, lots of nudity, crude humor, and everything you would expect from Deadpool. But as far as violence/nudity/crude joke movies goes, it was a well done movie. I expect that there will be a lot of people that won't like it, but I expect that they won't like it because of the type of movie it is and not because it was a badly done movie.

Were you aware of the Deadpool comics and their trademark violence and humour before going in? Did you watch the trailer?

If so and you went to see it anyway then you've only got yourself to blame.

Awesome movie. Easily the best comic book movie I've seen since Iron Man. I think I liked it even better than Iron Man honestly. The opening credits alone are pure gold.

It was easily the best Fox produced comic movie ever.
