I just noticed tonight that thugs were at -1 will... How worried should I be about this? And for the life of me, I can't find my spare sessair warriors. Those minis are expensive now on eBay!

Currently I'm building a warband using a box of GW VC skeletons and a reaper bones wizard. However, I wouldn't mind having the official miniatures. Also, I thought about using a box of Lord of the Rings miniatures but we shall see. Lots of options out there, I also like what Otherworld miniatures offers.

Here's what I have so far. I may use the skeleton throwing the spear as a bow/crossbow proxy.

Mostly focussing my time on buying and painting the bestiary and some terrain at the moment. Want to buy almost everything Otherworld Miniatures sell... Trying to limit myself from buying it all in one big lump.

Can anyone ID the frost giant in the rulebook on page 119?

Cheers, I went through the site for every manufacturer listed in the front of the book but I didn't think to check the 15mm range.

I only knew about them because I followed some links through to the end on either the NORTH STAR or BRIGADE pages!

I'm not sure you want to bother with men-at-arms, at least in their current form. You're better off with treasure hunters or rangers.

Are you sure you can summon both construct during a game? Also... no shooting at all?

Your colours are great, I love the thematic unity of the crew. Very stunning visually. And I'm all for double duty, in these tough times.

After my first game being done, I have upgraded my warband to include a barbarian, a treasure hunter, a ranger, on top of the original tracker, archer, two infantrymen and three thugs. I was forced to let one of those go, but having a warband at 11, with three shooters, feels good. I lowered my casting difficulty to Summon Demons, bought a summoning candle, so that should be one extra body, and a raised zombie to boot. For some reason, that last one attracts a lot of firepower.

He can, it says the spellcaster can create a construct. So the wizard and the apprentice can have both created.

True that. Hopefully he rolls well, though. And I stand by my question of: "no shooting?"

I'm not playing to win, I'm playing to murder things with puppets!

I do have an Arcane Effigy I am slowly working on to stand in as an archer.

Treasure Hunter would maybe work for the Wicked Dolls...Ranger certainly wouldn't, but I'll explore TH perhaps.

Oh, I will need to take a closer look at those. They look like they would be good Cawdor gangers too!

They'll make good *everything*!

I can imagine the versatility of making a big bunch of different people with these sets for fantasy RPGs too. No more hunting for a certain set of weapons on Reaper's site. Although if you want females, you're still limited.

I made a few of my henchmen into women with Statuesque heads. I think you could do the same with cultists -- the bald female heads would do fine.

Orcs and Goblin elementalist - either an Orc "Wizard" and his Goblin apprentice, or the Goblin is the real wizard and the Orc just thinks he's the one in charge (depends on how beefy you can make the apprentice)

Flame wall and that windy "ranged weapons suck now" spell seem too good to pass up.

Apprentices are just the Wizard with -X to stats (usually X = 2). So probably orc wierdboy with gobbo apprentice is your best bet. Should be cool looking though! You can trick out your wizard with some big choppas and the like.

I'm currently working on my Were-Rat Wizard and his band of Ninja Were-Turtles

I figured that the turtles are going to count as a treasure hunter(sai's), a ranger(katana) and two trackers(staff/nunchucks) respectively. The wizard is going to be a Soothsayer and use his spells to buff his turtles to ninja levels

Those are some pretty epic Ninja turtle sculpts.

My first Frostgrave warband will be made up of GW wizards and D&D Humans

My Sigilist and his crew are all GW minis. I'm trying to figure out how to make a foot knight from bits.

I'm thinking of doing another warband that'll be from the Lich Nickstarter.

(I'm kidding! don't ban me!)

I play...

Sigh.
