Interior is fully painted and lit with red LEDs. The battery and switch are hidden in between the two pieces of the land raider hull and are accessible on the bottom via a magnetized section of track.

Blood tanks are filled with clear red resin with embedded floating skulls also lit from above with red LEDs.

Base coat is VMA fiery red over black and white primer with some burnt umber shade and orange and yellow highlights.

The chaos tracks are from http://thedarkworks.bigcartel.com/ and are highly recommended.

That is super! Love the use of the tanks. Is it a red tint, or water effects inside?

Its Amazing Clear Cast resin from Michaels just mixed with a couple drops of Tamiya Clear Red.

I sealed both ends of a plastic tube that I had and placed it on its side. Clear resin, tinted with some red paint" was then poured to the right 'height" in the tube. I placed the the skulls facing out towards the windows. When the resin hardened, I peeled away the tube mold and then sawed the half-round blood "column" in half, one for each tank. I then glued it in place inside the tank. I made a couple of mistakes doing this but it turned out with the look I wanted. I taped over the windows before I painted so the glossy finish would not hit with any over-spray.

That's awesome, man! I love models that are actually lit up in some way, but the very best part is probably the blood tanks with the skulls floating inside!

I'd like to extend my sincere compliments - those blood tanks are inspired!

May I ask, where did you get the plastic tube, so that it would scale correctly with the blood tank? I have a half assembled blood tank hanging around that I've used to test fit with all manner of tubes, but I've never found anything at a craft or hobby store that matched up exactly.

I absolutely love the blood tanks on the side there, give the tank such a gorey feel to it. It's absolutely perfect for Khorne, without a doubt.

I used a tube that a paintball barrel came in. However, I did find a back-up which I never had to use. I buy crazy glue in these tiny toothpaste like tubes. A group of three tubes come in a "pill bottle" like enclosure which is a match for size. It does not have to be exact to the size of the tank itself, just large enough to cover the window cut-outs. You really don't even need to use resin. You could paint the inside of a clear cup for the same effect but the floating skulls would be a bit tricky.

Fantastic conversion mate, really grabs the eye !
The tracks look very cool as well, though they could do with a bit more orange rust - but that's just a nitpick.

Any chance to show the underside/switches as well?
Keep it up mate. Top job !

Excellent, thank you for your reply! I've considered sealing some clear plastic sheets to the inside of the tanks myself, using resin epoxy to seal the edges, before pouring in the blood resin, but just having a correctly sized tube do wonders. I'll keep shopping around, as now I know someone else has found a correctly sized tube for this project.
