I... actually don't know. Help?

Might have been asked before, but do you want any trophies (heads, weapons etc)? What colour schemes?

Colonel, please wait to send him if he's going in a box. There's nobody home until Friday.

Sure thing, any army or scheme - though they'll fight against ultra marines, dark angels, blood angels, crimson slaughter, and eldar

Mine is continuing nicely - skin and teeth done, clothing mostly done, just weapons, armour, additional parts, decoration... OK maybe 'continuing nicely' is an overstatement.

Mine's not just bare metal any more.

P.s. he was already on a Gorkamorka base, but you can just snap/snip that off when he arrives, it won't be painted/finished at all.

Hey all, thought I would post up some WIP pictures of my Ork to bring the thread back to the top.

Thats mostly all of the basic colours done, though I did somehow miss doing his skin under his gun arm, and one of the straps on his chest.

Next up, highlighting.

Many thanks Paradigm, I had to do it once I saw the strap layout on his back!

I added three greenstuff straps, became fustrated trying to paint freehand red/white stripes, tried again another couple of times, then eventually got it to the point i am happy with.

Excellent!

Mine's ready to get in the post.

Is the protocol to include 'finished' pictures here, or leave them as a surprise for lock then have him/her post the whole gang together?

I put my pics of finished Ork here, and no one complained.

I did hide it in a spoiler. (mostly because it is big).

Inspector - union jack is ace.

No need to hide pics as one as they're resized.

Think I received your Ork yesterday. No damage in the post.

Think I accidentally mailed my blank to theCrowe, but still have two Blanks here, so it's all good.

Inspector #264, where are the other 3/4s of the flag?

That's coming along really nice - Januine has finished the warboss as well pretty much as well -> http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/30/660442.page#8121311

My dude is getting there as well, I'll post pictures once I get a wash on the skin. At the moment I am focussing on some DA devs.

Shipping cost reimbursement:
I've managed to stuff up my paypal account, which has meant that I haven't paid anyone for their shipping yet (so far, it is only Paradigm on the list of people that need to be paid.) It's happening, it's just slow. I am sorry for the delays, I was hoping to have it sorted last week, but that's shifted to this week due to other issues (uni).

That warboss is a masterpiece!

My own ork boy has received a few light modifications and a black undercoat and has well and truely bunked the que ahead of hundreds of goblins to be next in line for painting. It'll be nowhere near as jaw- dropping as the warboss (which is as it should be I suppose) but I'll do my utmost to at least still hold my own with some level of pride. I'll upload a pic of him (beside our local landmark cause I love that idea) when he's presentable.

Is mine the only Dakka-clan ork in Ireland?

Glad he got there safely!
Yeah, there's only yours and Matthew's that went across any water.

Yeah, loads of character there, and the bright colours should stand out nicely! Is that a GorkaMorka model, by any chance?

Yep - limited edition Gorkamorka Nob from UK Games Day... '98 maybe?

The plastic Gorkamorka lozenge base did not survive being separated from the painting cork, so I've packaged him with a spare round slottabase (unattached).

The yellow was a big departure for me from my usual pallette of black red white and occasional grey. Turns out all my yellows have that age-old problem of offering about 2% coverage, so needed a literal 15 coats brushed (over white!) to get a semi-even basecoat. I'm quite happy with how it came out, though I keep thinking about deeper shades on the plate edges of the gun.

They yellow looks nice and clean. I swear I have washes that cover better then the yellow “paint”. Props to anyone who can make it look good.

Glad you like him; he was fun to do, esp the painted but then weathered metal plates - the check one and the red one. may need to pick up some more orks at some point.
