It's good to point this out so people don't get frazzled by apparent lack of coordination. Mail definitely can go missing, or be heavily delayed. It once took a full 6 months-- half a year-- to get a small check from a larger, reputable essay contest. If fingers need pointing...

I'm almost done painting my boy! I've had a lot of interference from life lately...travelling, girlfriend had a death in the family, work is heavy right now, etc. So I'm getting there! Sorry!!

No need to be sorry - that was intended more as an "everyone has time" comment. kb, himself, has admitted to letting this project get away from him, at times. Paint when you can, mail when you... yours likely won't even be the last Ork received.

SPEAKING of letting this project get away from me

So I have emerged from my little rock (baby is 7 months old now), I am keen to see where we're at. Mostly, I am keen to poke you all to at least prime the orks while the weather is favourable! We're about to slide into winter, and I know that means some of you poor buggers don't get to spray prime stuff.

I have sorted out the basing, and have started basing the orks I have. So far, I have Januine's warboss, Winter's deffkopta, my Ork nob (which looks horrible in comparison), and an utterly amazingly stupendous train that Camkheri built.

I won't get time to get photos of them all until the end of October, but in the mean time I will PM everyone to see who is still alive.

Reporting from North American HQ, I've received one boy (Nevelon's), so far. That brings the NA total up to a whopping two boys - I painted one of my own to get back in the swing of things after losing steam on my assigned nob, which still sits in partly painted pieces.

Prod some painters, kb, and I'll keep an eye out for any PMs coming my way (I get email alerts), even if I don't jump back in-thread every day. Good to have you back in the land of the living (if sleep-deprived )!

Hoho! More painters emerge from under their rocks! Perhaps I should get back to work on that Nob, after all...

Yeah... that would be "North America," MrFlutterPie. I'm waiting on Canadians, too.

In other news, my second entry (the one I was supposed to do) into the mob is progressing and I may have a third in the works. We'll see how far I get by the time I have a group worth shipping back to kb!

I'm sorry that the Canadians haven't got their Orks done either.

I am also sorry that I made my early assumption.

I am also sorry I didn't put a in my post.

Although the thing I am most sorry for is Justin Bebier.

Love your Canadian friend

They stopped being my orks as soon as they went into the post, they because "your" orks, free to keep them, free to paint them and send them back, free to put them in the bin because they're filthy xenos.

There was no other way that I was going to be able to do such an exercise, otherwise I'd be constantly worried about losing "my" orks.

I've already replaced the AOBR side of orks through a fortunate ebay find, and have already received some amazing work from Jan and Winter, as well as the most ridiculously awesome train from Camkheiri (i swear to god I'll learn how to spekk that one day). I'm "ahead" if you really want to count it, but more than anything else I just want to see what an utter rag tag bunch of orks like this will end up looking like.

Paint on bros, or don't, whatever yo

This is still pretty high on my list of potential painting/modelling things to do. I don't really do a whole lot of hobby stuff these days (I mostly just write fiction) very occasionally I'll take a notion to paint something or get an idea in my head.

Recently I've been pondering this project again and thinking about objective pieces. No real plans yet but the longer I watch offerings roll in the more tempted I am to pop another one in the post.

Good on you, General_K! No rush, obviously () - send him whenever you can. He'll likewise get a place of honor in my display cabinet until our little warband makes its way down under.

Glad someone else did, first!

Thought about bumping it a few times, as I've received no news of progress (let alone actual models ) from the North Americans (barring Nevelon, whose boy I already had) for some time. Having half of the posts on this last page made me feel like I'd be shouting fruitlessly into the void.

Thanks guys, I have been getting pounded at work so haven't even looked at plastic for days. I will shoot a message off to BC and get him to give the locals their orders and send them through. Maybe a few group shots will inspire everyone again!
