Wasn't happy with the green gold trim to the armour so totally reworked it this evening. Made a start on his leathers too. Ajax712 is coming together

He does look better as he is now. On repeated glances the green was becoming distracting.

Good call on the green. The way he is now mutes him a but the whole model ties together much better now in my opinion.

Think he needs some Blood for the Blood God on that big claw

Decent bit done on Ajax on stream today. The boy has a base!! Getting there. Final details and a bit of weathering live tomorrow. Loved making, converting, painting and giving this guy a story.

He is incredible Januine. You should be very proud. I have said it numerous times but this is by far the best Slaughterpriest conversion I have ever seen. It needs to be sent in to White Dwarf

He looks amazing dude. That base is phenomenal. The white mask hanging off his back stands out as out of place but in a good way. It's like "That doesn't seem like something he would carry around? Why does he have it? What purpose does it serve?" it builds character through mystery, I like it.

It looks like WD are abandoning the Flickr group. Everything seems to be coming from Instagram. I've yet to decide if I am going to switch

Very cool. One would be hard pressed to not believe that this wasn't how the model was intended to be all along.

I'd love to see the Gorechosen box all converted like this guy. Keep the weapons in the same realm and you got a really cool, unique version of it. Like the Inquisitor that "recruited" Ajax decided that was a good spot to pick up others from.

That's what I'm saying. Just think, you will have a complete, stand alone game done in just a few more models.

Absolutely flawless conversion and painting Jan. I agree with the above that I'm hard pressed to imagine that this isn't the model as sculpted by GW. Great job, it's very inspiring.

Thx EDC. The seemed right in head and in theory but once down, it just bugged me. Wasn't the right look at all for who/what Ajax is.

And onto some classic Inq. An old metal acolyte. Love the fig but he just strikes me as a complete douche. That guy in the retinue that everybody hates and the inquisitor ends up offing himself!!

It's funny, I got the exact same impression from him as you do. He does seem like he'd be a self-entitled more pious than thou jerk. Great start on him so far though, he's looking good.
