As far as rumors, or more accurately speculation, people are wondering what the HH Weekender event-only models will be and what surprises will pop up, besides the books we already know about from FW.

-Next primarch either Dorn or Alpharius; Alpharius with & w/out helm; I think the ultimate surprise would be Alpharius & Omegon together

Anyone else want to dump fire wood on the speculation bonfire?

Not really, that would be Archaon. Khorne has gotten more attention thanks to the Bloodbound, but that doesn't mean the other gods aren't getting up to similar amounts of mischief. I guess Khorne models are selling more because they won't make any new models for the other gods, so they need to make even more of them? logic™

Actually, yeah. Khorne HAS been "the big bad" for all intents and purposes. The AoS books have been focused more or less on specific Realms, and the battles against the Khorne Bloodbound have been the big ones in the Realm of Fire's Hellfire Peninsula.

Nurgle has been the other, with the Nurgle Rotbringers in the Realm of Life.

Well, the initial books have been focused on Bloodbound and Rotbringers as enemies, that's true, although one of the books featured a Tzeentch sorcerer and his fortress heavily. Just because they've been the focus so far doesn't mean they're the "big bad" though. Chaos is the big bad, and Archaon is the big bad of Chaos. It's been a ramp-up, showing different Chaos forces (Khorne, Nurgle and Tzeentch) before converging in the latest book (Call of Archaon) on the most badass of them all and his counter-invasion against the Stormcast.

You're conflating fluff from the novels/audiodramas(which, incidentally have actually been including "sneak peeks" of what's coming--they described Dorghar's current form in one of the audio dramas months before we ever saw the model) with the campaign books.

Archaon as the "big bad" has been a background character for all intents and purposes, much like Sigmar has been for the Stormcast Eternals.

I haven't read the campaign books, so obviously my perspective will be that of the novels. The latest one is all about Archaon taking back what the Stormcast have conquered. He's even there in the flesh, flapping around on Dorghar and wiping out scores of Stormcast. Ultimately though it's a semantic argument, and when I say "big bad" I mean "guy with the biggest army who will be the main antagonist going forward".

Well, Chaos Dwarfs do wax and wane at GW. Looks like, after some sterling releases from FW a few years ago, they need to be shafted again.

Pity. Also, reminds me, I need some Chaos Dwarfs for my Warhammer Quest games...

tbh that sculpt never felt right as K'daai destroyer (where are the flames o.O) so it makes sense to re-use it for khorne - I just hope FW will not drop the Chaos Dwarfs (again ....)

Well, "Inferno" has been hinted at as being the book delving into the sacking of Prospero, which did involve the Sisters of Silence.

I would be very disappointed if Alpharius was modeled with the helmet on, just like his picture in the book.

We just got our first special unit so I don't expect anything new AL related reveled at the seminar.

I think the model of Exodus would suite you just fine if FW will get around to finally make it.

Yeah but many Primarch models have stuck to a head design similar to their picture in LA:ICL (and other books)
The only exception is Corax, but thats because he went to the same hairdresser as Fulgrim

It's continually baffling to me why FW are so totally resistant to entering the modern age. They could shove a camera pointed at the stage in these seminars for virtually no cost, and they don't even have to livestream them if they're actually worried nobody will want to go if the talks are available online, just record them and upload them a week afterwards. Christ if they livestreamed the event and charged a couple of quid to access the stream they'd probably make a fortune. They're leaving both money and potential marketing impact right there within easy reach and refuse to touch it, why, because they fear it will diminish some entirely illusory sense of exclusivity? Because they can't be bothered? It's utterly maddening.

I need to acquire plastic Skavenslaves, can you help?
I have a blog now, evidently. Featuring the Alternative Mordheim Model Megalist.

"Your society's broken, so who should we blame? Should we blame the rich, powerful people who caused it? No, lets blame the people with no power and no money and those immigrants who don't even have the vote. Yea, it must be their fething fault." - Iain M Banks
-----
"The language of modern British politics is meant to sound benign. But words do not mean what they seem to mean. 'Reform' actually means 'cut' or 'end'. 'Flexibility' really means 'exploit'. 'Prudence' really means 'don't invest'. And 'efficient'? That means whatever you want it to mean, usually 'cut'. All really mean 'keep wages low for the masses, taxes low for the rich, profits high for the corporations, and accept the decline in public services and amenities this will cause'." - Robin McAlpine from Common Weal

I wish I could see them, too, but I get what at least we were told last year. I got to come over from the US and do the pilgrimage and it was quite packed in those rooms. They asked us not to film because we paid for the experience and it would be unfair to us to share actual video with others. I certainly can understand that. That, and sometimes wrong dates or titles are given and it makes it all the more reason to not have video to set the internet further afire. It was no secret to anyone that many attendees are taking pics and posting what they hear and see. Anyway, that's all I can say with confidence instead of speculation. It was already crammed to see models, art, painting and at times author signings. The insanely long queue is in the morning before the first session but to their credit FW& BL have handled that well and according to other attendees it's seeming to improve each time. Maybe if some semblance of Games Day comes back (and hell, now it just might!) they may do video, if it outgrows WHW open day events.
