I've always found something off with Warlords sculpts that I've never been able to put into words. These ones seem to have the same problem.

I own the heresy "not" dr who figures, and these sculpts do nothing to make me want them over what I already have.
Now bring on the plastic darleks, and a davros to lead them. Oh and a nice model of the tardis of course.

I'd LOVE to have good plastic daleks and cybermen.
But knowing Warlord, they'll be scaled like their terminator endoskeletons are, so they look way too small next to any other company's standard line (40K, Mantic, pretty much everything.)
Dreams of having Daleks invade the 40K universe are going to be dashed because the Warlord Daleks are going to look puny and undersized, ditto for the cybermen. They'll be fine for Warlords Dr. Who game, but useless for crossing over with anything else.
I know that sounds harsh and pessimistic. Chalk that up to my severe disappointment with Warlord's terminator endos, which could have been a great addition to miniature gaming, but instead of looking menacing and powerful, are scrawny. Also, I'm very tired of every previous Dalek miniature incarnation (including GW's), plastic or metal, never being large enough to blend in with any other lines. If GW or even Mantic were making the new plastic Daleks, I'm pretty sure scale wouldn't be an issue. But Warlord doing them has me worried that the shorty Dalek trend will continue.
I'd be delighted, and buy a bunch of their plastic Dr. Who product, if Warlord would prove me wrong this time.

This went up a few days ago but I was on holiday, but pictures of the Twelfth Doctor are up. Overall I like them better than the Tennant one, but how they have made one of ( imo) the most beautiful assistants that the Doctor has ever had more of a potato head than Strax I do not really know.
Also a tiny picture of a painted Zygon:

Vastra and Jenny are awesome, although I'd like to see an alt sculpt of Vastra in her mourning dress and Jenny in her uniform. I guess it makes sense that they're dressed for a fight in a skirmish game though.

12 is the pick of the bunch there, they've captured him at his coolest in the mini, but the others don't do much for me... do we know if they plan on releasing these minis on their own down the line?

The painted Zygon looks pretty good. Probably creepier than the actual costume is. Clara does look like a bit of a miss, but the rest look good. Are Vastra and her group officially considered Companions?
They need to show off the Daleks and Cybermen though. They have to know that they're what people really want.

Good question about the individual release, I will ask some of the Warlord lot via the GoA facebook group.
Bit weird that they based 12 on the one scene in one episode, maybe it points to multiple sculpts?

The game has possibilities, if for anything additional Dr WHo figures to mix with the other games out there.
A question on my end-
DO these figures stack up to the zombie sculpts on scale?
Anyone played anything on this system, yet?

Clara is certainly disappointing, both for the face and the awkward posing.
Also a little disappointed that they included that ridiculous guitar on the Doctor... it's a great sculpt other than that.
Well, that and the sunglasses... but you can't really blame Warlord for the story choices made by Steven Moffat, I suppose

Wow, Clara has to be the least exciting sculpt I've seen in a long time.
Then again I thought she was a pretty dull companion too.

I agree wholeheartedly re the sculpt.
As a companion, I think she was redeemed in her final season...

Just contrasting these sculpts with the GW LoTR sculpts by the Perry brothers makes me sad to think how good these could have been in the right hands,

Not a fan of these sculpts at all myself, I feel Heresy might have some better stand-ins.

Required: Freelance Sculptors
August 11, 2016 - News & Announcements - Tagged: vacancy
The Warlord Games design studio is looking to further add to its stable of freelance sculptors. In particular we’re looking for more capacity for sculpting our Doctor Who and Beyond the Gates of Antares range digitally although top notch traditional sculptors are also welcome!
If you are capable of producing startling likenesses of characters such as Captain Jack Harkness, Sarah Jane Smith and Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart, along with the ability to replicate the various monsters and baddies from the show to the quality of the figures shown below, we are interested in seeing what you can do.
Please send example images of your best work in this vein to our Design Studio Manager at paul.sawyer@warlordgames.com along with your availability and any pertinent information about yourself or your experience.

Something about the pose of many of these figures seems a bit off to me, I don't care for them and much prefer the Crooked Dice, Heresy or even Harlequin range.
I hope the plastic Daleks and Cybermen are better. Surely you can't get Daleks wrong if you just stick to the correct proportions.
I'm a n old Dr Who fan though. I'd love plastics of Cybermen from the Invasion or Earthshock, but this looks like a New Series only licence.

All around the Warlord offices there have been cries of "Ex-ter-minate!"
Our Time Agents investigated and discovered this - one of the first test sprues of the forthcoming plastic Dalek models. As you can see, they come in 3 parts that snap together - no glue needed!
