That's not really true any longer. He and Hastings used to be the gold standard, but they have cut back.
He's reliable, but there are those more reliable now.

Ah, my apologies. I'm in and out of it pretty frequently, so I guess I'm behind the times.

Can't for the life of me remember the first place I saw the Genestealer Cult rumour but I *do* recall that it was listed alongaside AdMech and plastic Horus Heresy, AdMech has happened and plastic Horus Heresy seems to be confirmed by the sprue leak, so I'm being optimistic about Genestealer Cult ~ though I'm dreading what Hybrids might look like, as I really can't stand the new-look Purestrain Genestealers, but it's possible they might go for a more classic look.

I'm not the biggest fan of Allies, but these small niche armies certainly benefit from the ally system allowing incomplete armies. I really hope Genestealer Cults are in. I think they were some of the most menacing part of the Tyranid lore and really represent the Imperium's fear of Xenos infiltrating and corrupting from within.
Its important to remember that the original rumor was Deathwatch Kill teams and Genestealer Cults packaged in a box game and only later would the minis be separate. I'm not saying that's the case and things might have changed, just a reminder of the rumor.

It would be odd to release the HH box without any follow up, unless it is purely a board game -- which in turn makes pretty much no sense ... especially if the alleged sprue images are authentic.

Horus box maybe late October. Possibly up for preorder on the 31st. Latest rumour suggests 2 box sets.
This is what a red shirt actually mentioned yesterday.
It will arrive in 4 to 6 weeks.

Well...you know how I feel.
The new "thing" seems to be minis in a big box with some nominal game, and that lines up with Hastings' prediction about Genestealer Cults. I guess we'll have to see whether they get a Harlequin/Skitarii-style codex or just get rolled into a new Tyranid codex. The latter would be a fluff change, but then...fluff changes.
Regarding 30K minis, IIRC Hastings was pretty clear that there'd be more to come past the initial release. And I trust Hastings. Also, it seems clearer all the time that FW will continue doing their HH thing, which is all I really care about from a game standpoint.

That's the question.
Will we see FW models in the HH release?
Atm we cannot order FW from the GW shops here in Hamburg. Maybe this will change in the future.

The latter would make sense to me. As someone who played a genestealer cult pretty much from the beginning when the list first came out in Rogue Trader, I just can't see them fitting in to the full 40k table top experience. They were not a military force of any real kind. They were a cult of normal people lead by a hideous creature that impregnated them and raised a growing family of hybrids until the bloodline ran true and purestrain stealers were born. They were not an IG force. They had no armor or tanks and few heavy weapons. There were never a lot of purestrain stealers and the only reason the army was viable on the table top was because stealers used to be much more impressive statwise back in the day. They were a distraction to conceal an incoming tyranid invasion and were then consumed by the 'nids along with everything else on the planet without differentiation. Now a game with deathwatch kill teams rooting out a patriarch and his brood would be pretty cool and much more in line with what the cults were. I could really get into a game like that being a long time fan of the stealer cults.
