My grav weapons too would like all the orcs to have heavy armour. Heck, well even package it all up in a care package and drop it into the Ork Camp before the battle!

Is there a permanent stickied thread for Chaos players to complain every time someone/anyone gets models or rules besides them? If not, there should be.

im fine with that. As is SM players are just plopping a couple of Lascannon's or a melta or two into the Battlewagon the gitz are hiding in and have the same result as firing a volley of Grav gunz into 4+ models. with the added bonus of blowing up a 110pt transport.

I come in peace. I didn't bring artillery. But I'm pleading with you, with tears in my eyes: If you mess with me, I'll kill you all

Let me be a decent fellow and stick 'em all in Mega Armour

In regards to the thread, I had no idea that Flash Gitz had t-shirt saves :s. Still, the big boss at the GW I go to in term time rates them so I was going to pick up a bunch of Flash Gitz at some point, although my Heavy Support is usually Lootas and Mek Gunz. Give me my Shock and Awe Formation!

But Bosspoles on everyone? Seriously?

Guys: I think we need to remember something here. A nob with a power Klaw is 43 points.

A meganob with 2+ armor and twin linked shoota is 40 points.

You have to keep that in perspective when you consider how slowed the ork codex currently is. A model pays -3 points for 2+ armor as opposed to basically NO armor.

Slow and Purposeful is clearly worth something like -20 points .

Whoever wrote the Ork codex really didn't "think" when putting together the rules and we get such gems as every flash git having a boss pole, stikkbomb chukkas giving grenades to units when the entire codex (except grots) has grenades in their default wargear, deffrollas doing extra hits to a unit ONLY after a failed death or glory (which in the rules already kills the model who failed the death or glory), and even the cybork being questionable as giving an individual upgrade, non stacking 6+ FNP in a codex that has access to the painboy HQ for a unit wide 5+ FNP. The Great WAAAGH! detachment rule is horribly bad as it adds +2 to the Mob Rule roll (if your under 10 models then you can only pass if you have a character and roll a 1) and makes you take 4-6 hits instead of 1-6. This detachment requires an elite choice and has an extra elite slot and yet the elite entries are typically small number units which this +2 mob rule roll hurts.

iirc gw guyz first get the models out and than write the rules based on what this models look like - not the opposite.

And i don't agree that flash gitz shouldn't utilise mellee. They're nobz after all. And they chop stuff better than they shoot it down, ironically.

In my experience with the gitz, they are decently good in melee (being nobz) but they lack the PKs and even big choppas to lay down the hurt in close combat. What they are good at is charging in to finish off a wounded range units like Tac marines that was ripped apart by their snazzguns. The weakness of the gitz is that without any real armor save they end up taking a lot of wounds which makes it easier for them to lose combat against anything with some bite to it (mob rule helps if you keep the kaptain alive).
