So, This question might be iffy, I know the whole "Every model can be used and works fine" and "It's not in the list building" stuff, But, I'm having a realy hard time deciding what to buy for my Haqqislam.. I have a Hassassin Bahram starter box, But I'm wanting to play regular Haqqislam. Now the problem is, I kind of want a bit of everything, So I dont know what to buy first.. Thus I decided to come on here and ask! What do you all recomend to add to my Hassassin box to play regular Haqqislam? I kind of want to push it up towards 300 points, Since that seems to be the standard points and thats what my friend who has played for a while recomended going for..

I dont know Haqq that well, so I cant give you any really specific advice, but in my case I literally just buy models that I think look really cool and figure out how to throw them together in a list. This is sometimes a bit difficult, as for the most part models I think look cool *arent* light infantry which leads to low model count/low order lists, but I still manage to stay competitive with it.

Ooooo, Thanks for that list! I'v been running my Daylami as Ghulam as they seem to have almost the same statline and Ghulam are Regular instead of Irregular like Daylami are.

Those are the Haqqislam models I like the most. Though I also started thinking, Are Doctors, Engineer and Hackers important? I mean Doctors can keep your guys alive, But the other two I'm not sure of..

Sorry, I'm still a total newbie.. xD Only played 3 or 4 matches so far and none of them was full rule games (We dident use Lieutenant or command tokens) Still, I love Infinity ^_^

Hackers and Engineers are very important, as they can complete objectives--same with Doctors and Forward Observers.

Hacking has also become even more important than it was before, so...yeah, it's important to have at least one or two.

The advantage of using your Daylami as Daylami is that you can, as I did in the list I wrote for you, use them as Inferior Infiltration with Limited Camouflage--and putting them with the Lasiq in their own Group means you'll get some camo token hilarity.

Haqqislam only has 2 Engineer options. The fairly basic Najjarun, and the really awesome Kaplan Tactical Services.

Ideally I'd suggest also getting the other starters - generic Haqqislam starter and Qapu Khalki. Both add a range of units you'll make a lot of use of.

At minimum, hunt down a blister of Ghulam Rifle+Light shotgun models (if you don't get the Generic starter), the box of Ghulam special weapons and the Haqqislam Support Box. This will get you all of the Ghulam options, plus the Najjarun Engineer and a pair of helperbots for the Engineer and Doctor. Ghulam will be your staple of cheap, dependable light infantry. They have great specialist options (Forward observers, hackers and doctors) with a higher than average WIP (thanks to the faction bonus of high WIPs), and the doctor option is better than other factions dedicated doctors due to being Doctor Plus. The special weapons are cheap and effective. Their benefit over Daylami is that they're Regular, so they bulk up your order pool.

Seems to be based around lots of grunts to maximise orders.

Having said that, I think you can probably make any list work as long as you have a really good understanding of the rules. E.g. Sekban are seen as an inferior link team to Kaplans, but a guy won the Lords of Wargaming tournament with a Sekban link. That's probably why so many people advise to just go with the models you like.

Tyrranosaurus, I think the benefit to Sekban is that they are linkable using Fireteam Haris. This plus their 4,2 move and 360 visors all make them a pretty solid defensive link.

The list you posted makes use of the ubiquitous MSV2+smoke trick. The Yuan Yuan pop down and throw smoke, and the dzanbazan hafza link shoots through it with the visors.

I think one consistency across strong lists is that they are very well balanced with specialists cheerleaders killers and problem solvers like sensors and hackers.

Well, I'm planning to run regular non Sectorial Haqqislam, So I cant realy run link teams can I? My very limited knowledge says they are only avalable to sectorials.

So, how does this work?

Saladin as your Lieutenant.
Nobody questions this one. He is the best Lt. for Haqqislam.


Hafzas
Why? because they will use an special skill to impersonate Saladin. Your enemy will see 3 Saladins on the Table. Confusing. Disuassive measure for killing the Lt.

Hassassin Farzan
With his "Chain of Command" skill he can work as a specialista nd... if Saladin dies he becomes the Lt. so there is no Loss of Lt.


Naffatûn
Line infantry. They will provide orders and they have flamethrowers. Nobody will try to mess with them.


Hassassin Fiday
She will impersonate an enemy troop and deliver the deadliest blow within their lines. Absolutely Haqq MUST.


Lasiq Viral Sniper
One of the best snipers of the game.


Djanbazan with HMG
MSN Visor Level 2 with an HMG.


Support pack.
Have a Doctor and en engineer (both specialists) and the nasmats that will extend their influence on the table.


Vaguely looking at some online stores this army list would be around 137$ US Dollars

That does look like a nice army! I do like the looks of those models, Thanks! ^_^ I think I'l try to collect that, A bit here and a bit there untill I have the entire thing ^_^ Already got the Lasiq and a Fiday (Though the Fiday model I have only carries a knife)

My take:

1. Take Ghulams,cheap and versatile.

2. Take docs. Docs are your main faction advantage, that plus decent morale, play to your strengths and always include a doc.

Beyond that there are too many things you can buy.

a) Muttawiah with chain rifles cost only 5pts, dont add to your order pool but either suicide rush or not at your choice. They are armed for very nasty short ranged combat and a couple of them cost next to nothing and may open up opportunity play.

b) Naffatun with heavy flamer.

c) Linked team of Janissaries with medic ability and cheap mimics to make up the numbers.

I didn't realise those new Naffatun came in a four man team.

Shame you can't make a link team with them :/

Yet

They're the Line Infantry and Linkable in Caliphate according to the latest rumours. If they are, I'd be shocked if there wasn't an SWC box for them. Vulkan Shotguns, Light or Heavy Rocket Launcher and a Doctor would be a great companion box, and keeps the fire theme.
