As many of us know, vehicles are in a weird spot. In general Hull Points where a good thing, but now vehicles are basically MCs with no save and who can ID to Melta and anything else AP 1 or 2. The solution is to give them a save.

AV 10 gets a 6+ Invuln
AV 11-12 gets a 5+ Invuln
AV 13-14 gets a 4+ Invuln

Now since most vehicles dont have the same AV on all sides the save would change depending on which side you shoot. Also Super Heavies and Fliers would not benefit from this, as they have their own defenses.

I think the biggest issue with vehicles is that they end up getting glanced to death by a volume of fire (looking at you scatter laser, gauss, tesla, auto cannons, HYMP, etc). What would be great is if vehicles had 4+ armor while walkers, tanks and heavy vehicles had 3+ armor. It wouldnt do anything to melta, lascannon, krak missiles, railguns, plasma, etc but it would greatly diminish the value of the spammy weapons. Small bonus in that it would actually nerf warrior spam a bit and make gauss blasters (immortal weapon) be potentially more useful than the gauss flayers (warrior weapon).

This is also a good idea. I think ill playtest both and see how they go

Totally agree, inv saves would be a little bit harder to explain, not to mention the vehicles that already get inv saves would be quite upset.
