Hi,
I wish I could make a child soldier for my Imperial Guard army, but I didn't find a suitable model.
Do you have any model in mind ? Or an idea to make one ?
I found the thread "chicken and children", there are some good stuff, but do you have something else ? I would prefer plastic.
Thanks !

There were the Juvie models for Necromunda, but those are hard to find. I know that the Judge Dredd miniatures game also has Juvies, but I don't think they'll work quite as well because they're sold mostly as single models, so it's not cheap, and they tend to have awesome and wild hair styles, but I'll link them here anyways if you're interested.

Shadowrun is the best game ever. It's the only thing I have ever played in which I have jumped out of a shot out van with a chainsaw to cut a flying drone in half before leveling a building with ANFO assisted by a troll, a dwarf, an elf, and a wizard.

My mind goes to Hasslefree Minis and their modern children figures, some conversion would be needed, admittedly.

I've been trying to think of a theme to use for my Inquisitor's Warrior Acolytes... I think child soldiers would be wonderfully appropriate for his personality...

Hasslefree is the first that that springs to mind for me, too.

the Wargames Factory 'Apocalypse Survivors' box has 3 children on the sprues (both the Male and Female sets)

The weapons they come with are more realistically scaled than 40k, but shouldn't be hard to convert.

(I've got three little girls from the Female set as Escher Juves in Necromunda)

I went farther than that for WFB...

For my "count-as" Giants of Albion, I lightly converted the Daemonette Familiar as a little girl. She's tiny, like pre-teen size:

They're also a bit more realisitically scaled than GW figures (smaller heads, thinner limbs etc) but it might not make as much of a difference with kids.

What does the rest of your army look like? That might make it easier to suggest models.

I do believe GW made some models for the Cadian Whiteshield army from the 13th BC campaign [think D of E where the applicants go into actual combat], though they might be hard to find nowadays.

Oh, thanks for all the replies !
Sadly, most of the models are made of metal...
What a pity !
But I do think that the "lulu" form Raging heroes will be more than correct !
I plan to play them with standard GW cadians.
Do you know the height of the Judge Dread juve ?
It isn't written.
Thanks again !

I do not unfortunately, I do not own them, they just happened to come to mind. I believe the Judges themselves are around the size of space marines, and would have to assume that the Juvies would be a little shorter than the Judges, but I am not sure. I do know it is a 28mm game however, so they can't be too far out of scale with actual guardsmen.

If you are having issues looking for child soldier minis, I may give a suggestion if you're using them as conscripts, Victoria minis makes a great looking set of Penal Guard minis that work well, and I believe they are in scale with Cadian minis. Personally, my Cadian conscripts are Cadian guardsmen with a white stripe down the center of the helmets to make them stand out from the rest of the army and just call them whiteshields.

How childish do you want your child soldiers? Raging Heroes had some that caused quite a bit of a fuss during their first KS.
