Back to modeling after a year off from the game and from building. I've decided that there is nothing I could do that would be more fun and cash saving than build my own gunz.
These clock in at about $3-5 a gun.

Let me know what you think!

And one shot as I go in to the priming stage...

Awesome! Love the pointless chainsaw on the barrel!!!

For me, the joy is in putting some good-looking models on the board and playing out a fantasy battle - not arguing over the poorly-made rules of some 3rd party who neither has any power over my play nor will be visiting me (and my opponent) to ensure we are "playing by the rules"

Welcome back from your hiatus! I was just browsing through your gallery and really dig your past work. looking forward to seeing more!

The cannon's are looking really sharp. It looks like you've hit a solid balance in uniformity between all of the models while maintaining a unique orky look for each one.

I might recommend adding some rivets to the models to add some extra detail. Also, I think the support tubes that are running along the barrels might work a little better if you capped them off at the end, or, inserted a smaller gauge rod in at the tip so it looks solid, rather than hollow.

Heh! I try to make sure all my Ork builds have at least one totally useless, but totally awesome bit like that. Thanks for noticing!

Thanks! Yeah, it's been a while. Haven't played a game since 6th, but still love the models. Regarding rivets. On the gunz that have not been primered, I have yet to add them, but am punching rivets as we speak. And as to not capping the recuperator cylinders, you are right! Don't know why I didn't notice that! Thanks for pointing it out. I'm getting on it now.

Ah, recuperator cylinders! I did not know the actual terminology so i'll have to file that away! Are you going to add a base to these or leave as is?

I put a lot of extra work in to making sure they are very sturdy despite all the dangly bitz, so I'll be going sans base. Honestly, I dislike bases in general on anything but troop models. Also, none of the "official" models have bases, so I guess I hadn't even thought about it.
I finished building the last of the 10 last night. I'll post some more pics today sometime. Rivets going on tomorrow!

Alright, here we go. All ten Gunz are in the priming stage. I riveted, smached in a bit more detail, and thanks to Novasetri, capped the recuperator cylinders. Time to start blocking them out.
Here are a few family photos of the progress.

I'll post some progress shots of blocking this coming week.
