Nice Varanguard, theyd be a frontrunner for my favourite AoS models to this point.
Curious though, how big are the models in relation to say a chaos knight?

This is accurate, but doesn't not really get the models across.

I had a bunch of Skellies on the painting table while doing the Varanguard, and they look very, very vulnerable compared to the Chaos guys. You can see the Varanguard ploughing into a unit of infantry and thinking the little guys would not stand a chance.

Once the Skellies are finished, I'll take a photo illustrating this.

Basically, the Varanguard are much bigger than they might appear!

These pictures don't show their width and with that some of the model's impression is lost. I agree that the would look a lot bigger from a different angle.

So for my cavalry I always liked the idea of a rag tag group of guys fighting together. So searching the archives of history I am going with some of the greatest baddasses that have ever lived.

Honestly, you've reached the point where GW should already include you (in some form) in the setting

Starting a new project in the next few weeks.

I have pre-ordered one of everything from the new orruk release, so that needs doing, then I will be rebasing my entire 8th ed orc and goblin army, including stripping and re-painting of some of my earlier models!

We are just about to start the Balance of Power book, which means I will be needing undead guys for Neferata...

As it turns out, the last skeleton I did here was the 999th model I have painted for Age of Sigmar since it was released.

Perhaps I should be doing something special for model number 1,000...

Disco, that is a gorgeous warband. I think the Orruks have been big sellers. I've got a few Brutes coming to go along with the Ogors I started. Just finishing up my last Plague Drones to put my Nurgle/Pestilens army to bed for now.

Thanks for the comments all

Bottle: thanks a lot but that's what they look like now and it's a crappy paint job by my new standards so they are getting redone even tho I really like the paint scheme.

@Matt: amazing stuff dude and the purple is proper striking, looks ace
