Almost finished my fourth big model for AOS: a nice old sculpt Hydra painted in green-oxidized bronze. Got to add the static grass and some rocks on the base and it's good to go.

Just started putting some Ironjawz together. First time doing Orcs and so far (model wise) I'm really impressed. The Megaboss in particular looks like he is going to really ruin somebody's day

Here she is, my first Hydra. No handlers as I don't like the old sculpt. Might grab a Dark Eldar succubus to use as handler as am doing an all female elves army.

You know, my favorite part is how the parched dried-up base goes with the gaunt, starved-looking model. Nice job

Thanks, am going with a loose egyptian/desert theme for my dark/wood elves, using mostly bronze for metals, brown skin for the elves, ad metals for beasts, as, lorewise, my army hails from the realm of metal.

Here are Durthu and my "Counts as" Drakespawn Chariot.

Just a couple of additions this week, for the Undead and Skaven. Kicking off with a Wight King to lead my Skellies;

And some more rats because, well, you just cannot have enough!

Thanks for the appreciation! Will post more pics as soon as I get the time to pull the minis out of my case. I like the wight king, one of my fav miniatures. The rats look great too, love the swarming ones.

Got a couple of rats done last night, one small, one very large!

The Verminlord Warbringer pops up in the Consumed Battleplan of Balance of Power, which we will be playing very soon;

And, as Clan Skryre is a thing in Godbeasts, figured it would be good to steal a march on that too;

Love those bronze Elves and converted Chariot, Adam!

Matt, that's great work on the Wight King, one of my absolute favourite GW sculpts done justice!

My first AoS stuff should be turning up today, so I can finally step beyond the gates of Azyrheim and begin an exploration of the Mortal Realms!

Ahhhhhhh I was going to ask why you went with a Warbringer, which definitely doesn't seem like the most popular of Verminlord varieties, though he's my own favorite (but I play heavy Stormvermin Skaven, so he fits both rules and fluff for me). Regardless, looks good and I'm particularly excited to hear about him in action

Thanks for the appreciation. Adding now the core of my army: my 10-girls squad of Witch Elves and my 2 Medusae. Love the sculpts. Will add the Executioners and ballista in another post.

Spoiler:

Unfortunately the cam isn't very good and the file transer ruined the image. These are a bit more detailed than they seem.

I've also got into the dark elves since AoS (Don't think the plastics were around when I was last into WFB), but painting as Drow.

At my astonishing rate of about 1 mini per month (so not too far behind Matt) I should be ready for the 2027 warhammer world event.

Finally started on working on my Chaos Fort or Dreadhold or what ever it's called. (funny how so fast I forget the names of everything lol)

Oh it's going to be a long project.

@Paradigm,

One small step for AoS, one giant leap for inspiration!

You and Bottle are certainly going to raise the bar for imperial quality on this site.

@Davor,

Nice! Got any big plans for it like a blue color scheme for Tzeentch? (Silver Tower hype talking there. )

@MongooseMatt,

Really late for the congratulations posts but outstanding job on reaching 1,000 models!

You're truly an AoS legend.

Really great stuff in this thread. Thought I'd add what I've done so far. I wanted to create a spacey nebulous effect for my Celestial Host of Stormcast. They are bringing the light of the heavens to Nurgle's realm. I thought it would be a nice contrast to the patina effect and muddy bases for these guys.

What I'm really surprise at is the complete lack of Stormcast in a patina color scheme. Anyway, here you go. Enjoy.

Not a clue what I want to do for colour scheme. Just lost my job (lucky to get it when I did a few weeks ago) so will not be able to get Silver Tower. Not sure how to paint it yet, any ideas?

O H M Y G O D !

I think I am just going to try and copy you. Of course I can't do 1% greatness of what you did, but I love it. Had trouble thinking on how I wanted to paint my guys, love what you did. Thanks for the inspiration.

Some really great stuff here!

@timwrightii I'd suggest another brighter blue on the weapons as a highlight or 'glow' effect which you can get easily with drybrushing. Even easier if you have an airbrush.

"Orkses never lost a battle. If we win we win, if we die we die fighting so it don't count. If we runs for it we don't die neither, cos we can come back for annuver go, see!"

I dig how in a setting where giant, muscled fungus men ride Mad Max cars and use their own teeth as currency, the concept of little engineering dudes with beards was considered a step too far down the aisle of silliness.

Thanks for the feedback Dez. These guys aren't quite finished. I do the OSL with an airbrush as the last step. They definitely do need some more highlighting.
