I just finished my Flesh Eater Courts army, 2000 points of noble warriors and their king! This army was easy and fun to paint.

Awesome blood splatter on the snow. How is that done?

It´s just a lot of the "Blood for the Bloodgod" technicalt paint. Just splat it everywhere. Soft brushes over the snow gives small splattermarks, for bigger bloodpools just apply a lot.

Had a rather massive amount of study work to do lately, but that is now done and models are starting to come out of the paint factory once more - beginning with some reinforcements for Khorne!

A Skull Cannon will (finally) give them a ranged ability beyond the Khorgorath's Bone Tentacles:

And another (why do I need another?) Blood Throne:

Hi! So, I've decided to actually start an AoS project, tentatively.

the issues: i don't have to many fantasy models, and the ones I do have are Brets! specifically, I have about twenty footmen, twenty archers, two... damsels, i think, and five knights. So it's small and an army that they basically dropped, from what I've heard?

issue 2: i am not able to spend that much money right now for a variety of reasons. No new stormcast for me, or at least not for a while.

Is this enough to work out some games?

Yes, for core (non GHB) AoS you should be fine, just find an opponent who plays similar size and you should be GTG.

Its a bit of a pain to rebase whole units/armies from square bases to round bases, but in the end its a good result based on the amount of effort taken to rebase, and gives you a beter base from which to add round based models to your previously square based army. And I'm sure Bottle will go googly-eyed over seeing square based models being rebased to round bases!

Base.

In case you were wondering, the answer is yes. Base no longer looks like a real word.

I say forget 25mm bases. Seems like everything will go to 32mm. If 40K is going to 32mm I can see AoS going to 32mm bases as well. So is that an option for you?

Holy Terra.

I tried congrats on 32s, but they look stupid. I judge the correct base by its ability to sureound the whole models silhouette from above. My WoCs, Skaven heroes and weapon teams on 32s, with the Chaos Lords (or equivalents) on the bigger terminator sized ones.

Neither 40k nor AoS are moving to 32mm bases. You won't see an Imperial soldier on a 32mm base and you won't see a Goblin or Skeleton on a 32mm base.
Super-humans in atomic powered servo-armour or chaos-infused barbarians, though? Yeah, they go on 32mm.

Repackaged Skaven infantry have been on 25s, as well as Chaos Marauders, so I don't think those are going anywhere.

Great work Bottle! It's too bad so much of the excellently detailed base is obscured by that chariot-whatever hovering on the top. Even the wizard needs a crystal ball just to marvel at how wonderfully painted the ground beneath him is!

Hey bottle,I heard you 3d print your models at 1:1 scale so you can get the level of detail perfect, is that true =p

I love that gate. I've never really paid it much attention as its too expensive for me but man is it cool.

Haha, I don't even think the base is anything to rave about on the hurricanum though. I need to work on my bigger bases....

Anyway, I finished off the second part of this set. A unit of mercenary knights to guard my Alchemist in battle. All in matching blue!
