Some "toned down" sister are in the work :

I actually think that version is a good opportunity to put more details on their "flat" torso surface. Boobs are nice, but their curves make some details a bit "odd" if they're not adapted.

It’s actually a bionic waist; she was captured by a haemonculus that took the concept of a ‘belly shirt’ far too literally, but managed to escape on the back of a pair of warp turtles after improvising a replacement skin from interwoven shardnets.

At least there isn't any giant boob armour, that's an improvement I guess?

I like many of these models and have purchased Wargame Exclusive minis quite a few times but I must say I really dislike the satyr-like extra jointed legs. They are a deal-breaker for me in getting any of those models.

Legs dont bother me, but ill wait until versions with torso armor come out before buying any.

Another update for the Greater Good

Design aside, I'm amazed of the quality of their resin. Very few bubbles and mold lines, the details on some parts are amazing. Very well worth their price, IMHO.

Great casting quality yes, though sometimes the models are a bit too busy detail wise.

looking cool, though it dose make the abdomen area look a little thin.

Saw an unexpected render from them this morning-

Spoiler:

Supposedly coming out end of this week.

Personally I like the modern look of him.

Who is that supposed to be? The chalice motif makes me think Sanguineas, but there's too many skulls and no wings for it to be him. Is it supposed to be Curze?

The wargame exclusive stuff is made very, very well, but it could stand to be slightly toned down in the detail department. There are practically zero surfaces that don't have some kind of. . . thing. . . going on. Can't even see the armor underneath all the skulls and chains. It's like they saw that limited edition terminator chaplain from a couple years ago and said "hold my beer".

The Repentia mistress is one of their better ones I think.

I'd say she's vastly better than the official version. The GW repentia mistress is a contender for the second worst model in the range, after the Dialogus.

Generally I like the Wargame Exclusive's take on things and their product is well cast.

I *LIKE* the Dialogus, and always have. I don't understand the hate. But then, I don't have one.

Digigrade legs is one of the cool things you can get from a company like WGE to spice things up. They're kind of hit or miss with me though.

I too noticed the waist on that figure. If you're going to make a more realistic SOB figure, you might as well go whole hog and not have the waist smaller the face, IMHO. It is not like you are catering to the market that is bugged by silly boobs but hot for narrow waists - I think that population mostly vanished around 1900.

Look how tiny her waist is. She needs that exosuit, otherwise she'd get blown in half trying to fire that gun.

In all seriousness, I've had ideas for how Guard could field Ofryns without having to use their ugly models and one idea I keep coming back to is a Guardsman wearing an exoskeleton. This figure fits that idea perfectly.

Would she be viable for the Guard in Kill Team?

I have no qualms building a pure WGE team for just that purpose.

A few not-space marine/chaos marines aside, male models aren't really their thing.

I think I'm new to this, but with GW sisters on the horizon, will these even sell well come next year?

Difficult to see. Always in motion the future is.

But I imagine they are going to see like gangbusters for the impatient. Furthermore, do we know a SoB release date other than "2019"? WE could rack enough enough sales to make a profit on the work and molds well before GW does an official release. And the Repentia models could sell well despite the GW offerings.

Just my uneducated guesses.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Are the Wargame Exclusive minis made from 3D printed masters? Or does someone traditionally sculpt the minis that go into the mold? (is it called vulcanization? I'm still pretty new to the mini creation thing)

If they are 3D printed, does anyone know the software, printer, and materials they use? Because those renders are awesome. And if the resin-cast miniatures are as good as reported, I'm impressed - the 3D printed stuff I've seen has way to much stair-stepping to my liking, and I'd assume that transfers to the rubber molds.

Thanks in advance, y'all.
