Each of you who plays with Skitarii has a lot of bits and all we have the same question in our mind “what can I do with all this stuff?” Well, don’t rush to throw it away. If you keep all of this then our novelty is just for you!
Sets with 10 bodies and 10 backpacks + 25mm bases for each! All you need is to glue relevant arms and heads that have remained from the plastic kits.

Those are actually pretty cool. I'm tempted...

They've done something similar with Immortals/Deathmarks.

As a person with enough spare bits to make like 30 more Skitarii, I am very tempted.

Oh yeah, that actually a decent point. I mean I even have a set of secutarii Peltasts that I haven’t built and I think their guns would go great with these.

Really, more miniature companies need to be making sets of bodies for various factions.
The number of dual kits GW puts out that have double the heads and arms etc.
There’s money to be made for sure..

Man this is exactly my thought and why I finally bought these new bodies. The Peltasts will stand out for sure, I'll snag some pics once I get them and put some together.

My only reservation was checking bits resellers and seeing that just the bodies are as cheap as buying these resin bodies..

Isn’t about 50% of GW’s infantry sized range in dual kits and multiple weapon options etc these days?

But they are less modular to make it harder to do exactly this.

WE does good female figures, and while there are a couple other folks that have done female IG, none of them have hit it right (for me at least).

I think WE could really do it well, and I'm guessing demand would be good.

The Immortals / Deathmarks kits are really nice. Adding clothes to Necrons gives them some nice visual variety, and I love the idea of using up spare gun arms from the GW kit like that.

The supply does not get to make the demands.

At that point you could also just buy another kit of Deathmarks/Immortals. They almost cost the same in MRRP (and nearly exactly the same if you buy them discounted online). I do like the general look of the robes, but if you want to go for a consistent look throughout your army, you just doubled the price of your deathmarks/immortals.

To market them effectively as a way to make the most out of GWs spare parts, these would have to be a good bit cheaper IMO. Not sure how feasible that is from a production vs revenue standpoint though.

The extra bodies may not be cost effective for an entire army, but they're perfect for smaller scale stuff like Kill Team or if you want a specific unit to stand out from its compatriots.

I'm still surprised there aren't more companies that make bodies to go with all the leftover GW bits.

Considering how much "Greater Good" stuff they do, I'd love to see them do some sort of kit that can use all those spare Tau arms you get in a Fire Warriors box. It's not like they're averse to female Tau already...

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

Yeah like the Tau infantry is just one arm should and head.
Which just makes it frustrating when you are left with guns you dont use

A different way of looking at the same thing is you're getting premium resin squads at a discount because you can use leftover gun arms you already have.

To be fair I prefer plastics.

What we need is a company that makes the bodies etc at about half a GW kit. Thus people would buy for sure as it’s cheaper than a whole new kit..

I don't disagree with your math, except to say you could also try sourcing leftover Immortal / Deathmark arms, as applicable, from fellow Necron players and the Internet.

There's a difference between buying chinese recasts because they're cheaper and buying boutique resin sculpts because they're better. Wargame Exclusive is very obviously in the latter category, mmkay?

Never bought that stuff. But it doesn’t look that good to be. Some of the poses are ropey and the details don’t look that crisp. For superior quality boutique stuff I would look at artel W. There stuff is amazing quality. This all looks meh to me.

Just had my first orders of both WE and Artel arrive, and first impression is that yeah, Artel has a slight edge in quality, but the WE models are very nice and hold detail well with little cleanup or pre-work required. In fact, of the two, Artel was the only order that has an issue worth sending an email over (bent sword with bubble preventing straightening).

So I would definitely classify WE as boutique, and to me worth the price.

But what if they're BOTH? (though, granted, not Chinese...)

That indeed would make it much cheaper too.
And like with FW, I guess you don’t always because it’s cheap.
Perhaps just to make sure you can use all your bits. Plus, If you bought two gw boxes, then you’d just have two full lots of spare weapons.
