@Talys - you painting the chaplain up as a WB or another legion. Absolutely love his crozius. Saw it painted up in a marble effeect (think that's the official paintjob fig I'm thinking of) and looked pretty belting. looking forward to see him all Talys'd up

Out of all the factions in 40k, Chaos is really the only one that isn't my thing, so definitely not WB

I'm sure it will be BA again -- until they're "done"... and I'm only about 60% of the way there... I wont be working on many other faction.

I have managed to make some progress with my entry, Abbadon's armour is now black and gold as apposed to just black. I am doing well!

I've got the far more sensible female GW Commissar.

Maybe I can make her less... That.

I have had that sculpt sitting above my PC for a long time now, reserved for the day I feel my painting skills have improved enough to do it justice.

Looking left and right is for deserters and cowards! Forwards only! For the Emperor wills it!

I genuinely don't know if she needs a neck or those dropping down.

lol I did once try to make a amazon warband for Mordhiem, was really hard to find models that weren't in chain mail or fur bikinis since i was going for the more practical look rather than pin up look. I did find some bodies to convert in the end.

well i started on present, base coating skin always looks weird...
and i think the part on her chest that i base coated as skin might not actually be skin....

@BC i think adding the neck would be easier than moving her shoulder pads down

Alright, I'm sorry guys..... I like my Kurtha Sedd model so much that I want to replace him as my entry for this month's contest :X Partly, because he's thematically better for Princes of the Universe subject matter, but mostly because I just love the model But, if it's too much a pain to change, don't worry about it

This guy is just a blast to paint. Definitely, my favorite model from the Betrayal at Calth box. I did him up as a Blood Angels chaplain (of course!). Now to tackle all those Mk4 power armor guys...

Slightly off-topic... when you use a the forum include tag from Dakka Gallery, the image is horizontally smaller than when you use the an IMG tag. Is there any reason for this or way around it?

Oh my god. I've been sitting under a rock for so long...
count me in for next month! Agh i'm so ashamed that I discovered this so late... :(
Shows how much I travel outside the P&M Blog/Showcase pages hahaha

Also Talys, that is one sublime miniature. I thought it was a screenshot from and old GW article or something, until I remembered that Sedd came out only a few days ago
Even if you can't get him entered, know that you have a stunning legion chaplain there mate!

Woe. I picture up Fullers to check if I could indeed rescue him, and his sword is missing.

Going to have to go back to the carpark in daylight and see if it's there. I dropped him unloading my bags from a friend's car in town.

Looks like my entry is indeed going to be something else. :(

@Talys: I've switched your entry, no worries! Awesome mini!

@LDP: Hooray, another excellent painter between me and getting into the top 3 at some point! Welcome aboard. Next month's in an open challenge, so whatever is sitting on your desk and yet to be started qualifies for entry!

The good news is I found the blade! Bad news is the hilt and shoulder are mashed so I'm gonna have to put him on hold after all.

Consider that ladyssar my proof, Para, and I'll give her a backing cast of as many cadets as I can finish. Argh.

Great work Tayls, it is a nice model and its good to see it as a BA. I was thinking of starting a BA 30k army with my Calth box.

I am very jealous of how good your red looks, I feel when I do start them I'll be looking over lots of your pictures for ideas on how to do it properly

@BC: That's lucky just goes to show how often people clean those places, good luck fixing him and with getting m'dam commissar finished on time.

Added a base to the Thorster, I'll have it finished tomorrow.

I'll have to see what I can find to enter next month. Maybe a tank or something.

im almost done... this pic was from this morn...
but this mini cape thing... i was thinking of painting it light brown
but idk... i think i should play it safe and paint it light blue...

@LordRahl - you can make a medium brown work. If you think color wheel, the opposite of complementary color of a medium blue is an orange, and a dark blue, a medium brown (mournfang brown-ish). You could play on it with a split complementary scheme and go blue, red-brown cape that gets highlighted yellow-brown highlights/accents.

The trick to making it work, though, is to not have too many other colors on the model, because you have lots of white and blue already.

I did all of my Cygnar infantry with Brown cloaks rather than their blue. If you keep their armour blue, and add a few spots of an orange/red you are good.

Also managed to pretty much finish Njal off, will just finish up his base which will have a little weathering around his legs and cape. Then snap some nicer photos.
