The cultists are really cool, but seriously, the Deathwatch models. My God, they are probably the coolest thing GW has ever made. So much character, such amazing miniatures!
I'm so excited for this. I really hope they release a formation or detachment along with this box for the Deathwatch. A formation that includes these characters would be so freaking cool, with special rules. PLEASE LET IT HAPPEN!
After expecting to see just 10 basic marines and actually see a librarian, a chaplain, a salamander pyro with kick ass candle on his head and a white scar biker.
Then I had really low expectations for the cult, just wasnt a fan of the original look. Then I see these sculpts and im sitting into my chair like.
The price does put me off a bit but holy are they tempting to use for mutants in a renegades army.

Yes, the pull to buy multiple boxes is strong. On the background side of things does a marine keep the deathwatch shoulder pad after returning to his chapter?
The only thing they don't offer and I never dared to dream is a) a way to make some Imperial civillians and b) a pretty woman cultist with a stubber and a claw hand to flick away her long braided hair (yes, I read and love the Cain novels ).
The price does sting, especially considering you got Termis instead of servo Marines in Space Hulk*. And like the DW guys, but I'm not head over heels fallen for them. Maybe I shold buy the set and sell some of them on ebay and replace them with selfmade ones to help pay for the set. Or trade them with someone here. It isn't some limited release or anything, right?
*Which I bought two copies of the first, limited remake, because my preorders on GWUK and DE both went through with only one confirmation. I didn't have the heart to sell it on ebay for thrice the price, so one copy remains in it's shipping bubble wrap for...later
Looking for a Skaven Doomwheel banner to repair my Nurgle knights.

Yes. He repaints the rest of his armor to match his chapter, but keeps his DW shoulder pad.
That is an amazing box set - sooooo thankful that they haven't ruined the Hybrids. I remember buying that WD with the cult rules in so long ago and cant believe its taken them so long to get back to them!
Marines look great too - I bought BAC for a 1K Sons 30K force but now can use these as Knights Errant in that game as well (more interesting than Ultras vs WBearers)
H.B.M.C, I don't think I've ever seen you as excited...
I'm too happy. I'm waiting for a meteor to fall and hit me.
Even the purebreed have been redone, as sorta in between the classic Genestealers and the current multi-part kit.

Not overly stumpy or bloated looking.. knees seem like they're in the right places.. hands and feet not massive. When I'm drawing, a typical proportion guide for chest width is roughly two heads wide for the chest at the shoulder level. That's what I'm seeing here.
I think its just a by product of the thinner spindly Genestealer's proportions when blended with humanoid characteristics. These seems quite comparable in proportions to the Chaos Cultists. It's not worth comparing either to the Imperial Guard mini's whose proportions are just their own thing too removed from the rest of the game's scale.

The variety in the cultists is impressive, as is the biker. £100 is a lot to put down in one go but at £2 a model it is a decent value. They have actually been very well painted too. Still waiting for the board pictures.

The board might be the deciding factor between 1 or 2 boxes. Deadly serious.
I do have a problem with owning two of that Magus model. I hate having duplicates (Marines don't bother me as those can be converted, easily).
They should re-release Space Hulk and then produce a campaign pack so you can swap models between game systems (e.g. Blood Angel Terminators versus cultists on a spaceship).
I am incredibly impressed with these models. I might actually pick one up, which I had no intentions to do before now. Hoping it's not limited edition or something stupid.

Imagine if a modern era Broodlord had made it to retirement age and got out of shape. Taken up locall politics, etc.
The Marine figures are very nice. I look forward to watching them die at the hands of the Brotherhood... muhahahahaah
Aware of this, I'm just spit-balling that maybe the Patriarch was retconned into the Broodlord and this guy was put in place of the Patriarch? We will have to wait and see how they expand the range, if at all.

I mean, fifty bucks is on the line.
There's no rule that says I can't.

I'm hearing it is but a much larger run than they've done before
