So far I've just written up meeting Irish's leader whilst still on the space wolf strike cruiser (figured the wolves and hounds might get along, so I had his guys contact Jhe's ship). I'll start work on the pre-duel meetings soon, then it's on to the duel, shooting Gruhlak, and the post duel gak
Ya my guys would get on well with the wolves.

It's a duel between one of my Knights, and one of TS's Knights. It's an "honor" sort of thing, kind of like how Space Wolves and Dark Angels have a duel whenever they meet. Neither group remembers quite why they have to duel, but it's upkept as a matter of tradition

Well, it started out as just a Knight on Knight fight, but it eventually became a thing where my Knights could meet all of the other Imperial forces and their commanders. The idea I had in mind was so that my Knights could potentially fight alongside any of them if they need the help. It gives me the opportunity to write more and improve my skills, and it gives the other commanders the option to maybe call in some heavier support if they need/want it.

To be fair. I don't think my literally filthy xenos want in. They frown on diplomacy and, though I'm not sure how far the deep striking capabilities of flayed ones extend to, if it's far enough I could just teleport a Flayer one in. Especially if kharne had necrons nearby. Correct me if I'm wrong though . But Kauvlosk is not fond of speaking to lesser beings.

I'm so tempted but it's more like
*Sneaks up to edge of enemy camp across river*
*Spots dingy and puts it in the water and starts rowing*
*Tries to be inconspicuous, Imperial Knight turns and looks at Grulahk*
*Akward stare* "Feth" *Furiously starts trying to row backwards*

Wondering how hard it would be to run a true unknown aligned faction in CoF 2.
Say I run a force, declare them Imperial, but having intended all along to reveal they aren't truly. How does one avoid meta gaming/writing whilst allying with folks?

So, you would be inserting X Marines in as Imperials, but in reality they're renegades and everyone is on their kill list, as an example? It would be plausible, and similar to what Smudge is doing for the end of CoF 1, where we could pick which faction we are supporting, including ourselves.

I was thinking more that if I played admech as true neutrals and they end up supporting the side that within reason, gave them what they wanted.
So say WK offers working on Knights, but Kharne offered weaponry, and so on.. by the end of the campaign they would have to weigh up whether to turncoat or not.

Hmm, that's interesting. I was doing something like that with my Kroot, but I also have been focusing on Imperial loyalty first and foremost, and it would hurt Ta'lok's pride and honor if he was backstabbing people.

I'm also considering having some of the involuntary EC controlled humans like Peffken just try and run off, see how far that gets them.
They'd not be welcome anywhere. Chaos will be angry with them, Imperials would likely kill them or shun them, and Xenos don't care as long as they're edible.
