I was just making a suggestion because I can't remember the last time Tainted even popped in to say something. If you want to keep him on the roster, that's fine. And BC does give progress reports from time to time, so I doubt anyone will accuse him of being MIA.

I can't speak for the Forge Fire, because I haven't read it, but Dark Lord Seanron's work is jaw dropping IMO. The CoF is also great, but like Kharne I can't really compliment it without feeling like an advertisement. I'll admit, sometimes I like to go onto a random page of the last crusade and just reread some of it.

So, Death of the Emperor is freaking mind blowing. I've been reading published Warhammer books, like HH and Gaunt's Ghost series and this has to be the best thing I've read yet. However, the Crusade of Fury has that particular charm to it. It's a nice blend of creativity from varying sources that introduce multiple writing styles while not being completely bogged down by the fluff. Forge Fire reminds me of a WWI front being fought in the 40K universe, which is pretty fascinating in itself.

I was attempting to multi task between writing and trying out a Stalker game. I died a lot. I gave up on Stalker for now and am sticking to writing. I'm better off that way anyway.

Can't write till my laptop's fixed. But I have made rolls and now I am 2 blurbs behind

I feel sorry for GM's when I ask for multiple rolls at a time. I feel like I'm spamming them. Ironically, it doesn't bother me if someone does it to me.

I made one roll, but I had to make a second after someone made rolls around me.

For now. Apparently, the southern gate is blown wide open, Tillers will be in the city, the main Blood Fort garrison will be wiped out, and the PDF fleeing.

I'm not actually sure when I have to write this up - I was told to do it AFTER Bob writes their chunk on it, does that still sound right?

Re: Seanron's Death of the Emperor - Read it. Nothing I can say would ever do it justice, it's really well written, advances the plot in almost Game of Thrones-y ways, and is always entertaining to read. It feels like it genuinely should be part of the canon, and that's when you know you've done good.
I would be a tad biased toward CoF1 and 2, but it does have a more relaxed and vast feel to it. I took the liberty of reading over the finale I wrote to finish it off, and I'm still rather pleased with some sections more than others.

Smudge, there's two books that have been my favorite for years now - Middle Sex by Jeffrey Eugenides and Houses of Time by Jamal Nasir. I've read them both three times, maybe Middle Sex four times.

I can honestly say that Death of the Emperor will follow beside them in the decades to come. It's a piece of fanfiction that I honestly believe should relate with or be the conclusion to the Emperor's. I'm still reading through it now but it's drastically changing my own perception of 40K while inspiring to set my own bar higher.

Crusade of Fury will eventually be finished but you can understand the series being set on the back burner while I read through Death of the Emperor. I'm mainly going through the current Crusade cause I plan on joining afterword but I'll eventually read the entirety of the first thread.

On another topic, would there be any information on the custom factions, like Stone Wardens or Shadowbrands (Cadre?), for example?

There are still plenty more Blood Fort Troopers in the Northern part of the city.

Okay, So, Stone Wardens are uhh...My home-brew chapter that I doubt will survive this crusade the way things are going. Half of them turned to chaos roughly 4ish years before the events that started CoF 2, Uhh...Imperial Fists descendants, and as such, specialize in Siege/Defense warfare. Only about two hundred Marines still alive and fighting for the Imperium at this point.
Edit: Right now, the highest ranking member is the Reclusiarch. Named Iodius. There was a Captain, but he died, and there is a Chapter Master/First Company Captain...But he...Is doing stuff...

In an attempt to keep this short, the Emperors Hounds are my homebrew chapter which are inspired by Gaelic/ Irish culture. However due to the vikings invading and integrating into the irish society at the time comparisons will be made to the space wolves, although i have tried to not just make a carbon copy of them the two chapters do share some traits.

Just some brief things unique to my guys: 1. Apothecaries are in the command structure of the Chapter. 2. There is a second apothecary deployed to each pack ( which is what companies are called). Theses apothecaries are called Houndmasters and are responsible for the hounds diet and well being, some higher ranking Houndmasters experiment back in their Fortress monastery in an attempt to improve the various breeds of hounds, which has caused some discontent amongst the various Alpha Marines (Captains) of some of the packs.
