I need it to get Sergeant Chronos...

Okay, but is the Terminus really the most efficient and durable way to get Lascannons on the board? Pretty sure you can get almost 3 Devastator squads all with Lascannons for that price, which equates to twice as many Lascannons (with Tank Hunters to boot, Imperial Fists of course).

But if we are playing Apoc (which we are with unbound), then I can take the one Warzone Damnos formation where I get Tank Hunter on a squadron of Landraiders, with Chronos at the head, in a Terminus Ultra

A big av14 destroying every other vehicle in the board.
Because vehicles aren't all that hard to kill in the first place. It is the MCs and GCs running around with 6 wounds and a 4++ that are hard to deal with.

I voted Crusader because of its capacity, but I am partial to the Achilles. Stuff a Techmarine and servitors in it. It will be harder than Hell to put down.

OR you just run an equal amount of Imperial Fists Devastator squads...

Devastators aren't AV14

Edit: Or BS 5 for that matter

If you want dakka the ultra or Achilles is the way to go. For everything else get the land raider's big brother the Spartan. Better dakka, more durable, higher transport capacity.

I wish Spartans were available as dedicated transports for all models that get land raiders as dedicated transports.

Give it Psybolt ammunition = many S6 dakka.
It also has the great +1 to reserve rolls and reduces the cover of an enemy unit.

That would be awesome, but I don't see where in the rules that's permitted. The Prometheus has a list of upgrades it can select from in IA2, and it does not have access to the Codex: Inquisition armory.

I'm using Battlescribe and you can take the Prometheus in an Inquisitorial Army, automatically granting it access to the Inquisition Armoury.

The big problem is that normal vehicles can't split fire and land raiders only get one shot at another unit. I I could light up two vehicles with a las Cannon each plus an infantry unit with the HB and SB, it be ok.

Unfortunately, Chronus cannot pilot a Terminus Ultra

Except he is bought as an upgrade for ANY ONE Ultramarines tank, if it has Chapter Tactics and your Primary is smurfs, it's fair game. He can pilot any Space Marine tank he wants for 50 points.

It says what tanks he drives

Chronus is not an upgrade from the Space Marine Armoury though. His entry also explicitly says what vehicles he's allowed to drive.

For thirteen years I had a dog with fur the darkest black. For thirteen years he was my friend, oh how I want him back.

Fellblade?
Awesome, awesome!
It's actually classified as a tank (unlike most SHV), so that works

But can it be taken as an Ultramarine-option?
That's the problem with SHV's, even if they were tanks they still count as an IG-tank that everyone can take.

The Fellblade is a super heavy, and therefore exists "outside" the normal Ultramarine's detachment. Don't think this would fly.

A Land Raider Spartan or Achilles are about the heaviest vehicle you can jam him in, or the Terminus Ultra I suppose.

Found this.

Chronus is a SM Character, and has his own entry. He is not an option in the armory. Chronus has a specific list of vehicles he can pilot with no gray area. If you wish to debate this, take it to YMDC where we can discuss it there
