Next month will be the St. Valentines Day Massacre RTT. It is an ITC reported event.

Before that we have an Apocalypse event in store on 1-30, you can find the details on the FB event page.

This past weekend was great!

Always a blast playing in these events. Even with the Butchers event in bakersfield, the LVO practice event had 20 people.

There is an Apocalypse game in two weeks, not an ITC event. February 13 is the next tournament and ITC event.

No no there was an announcement of another ITC tournament made by someone Travis had come up at the end of January's event, I'm trying to remember when/where it was.

Got it. I wasn't at the January event. Try sending him a message via FB if you can or call the store and ask.

So do I get any bonus points for taking Inquisition or Tempestus as primary?

Sure, I think running Inquisition or Tempestus as primary is worth, and Travis please correct me if I'm wrong on this number, a million Mega Fonzies? Though, running an entire Legion of the Damned army would be a better choice at ten billion Mega Fonzies.

You would gain my undying respect if you played Militarum Tempestus and won.

I thought I already had that...

Bah, now you are asking me to win? Jeez, moving the goal posts here. I just said play the damn primary, not win.

For consideration ( a no joke post ). Srsly.

The new (March 2016) ITC missions involve ... scoring that is gonna take more time for me to fully *get*. I understood how to score, but the really strategic application/change from the previous scoring method is going to need a bit more rethink. I like them, but couldn't plan well enough. It totally shows since I didn't win any of the Maelstrom mission in all 3 Rounds.

Again, I like the new missions and would like to play them through the Spring before poo-pooing them.

I won the Primaries though. These were:
Round 1 - Crusade with DoW
Round 2 - Purge with VanGuard
Round 3 - Scouring with Hammer&A

This was thanks to going 2nd in all three games. Opponents picked that twice, thinking they'd good a good 'Alpha Strike'. They didn't. I picked going second the one time I rolled to decide. Mainly, I won the primaries using ObSec jetbikes in two of those, FTW. Mission Two was KPs and I simply was ahead there. The last mission, my opponent had no ObSec (one of the new SW lists, 40 wolf-puppies, Azrael and such) so that wasn't hard to win.

3 wins, placing 4th outta 33 guys, behind some good players (gonna NameDrop like it's HAWT) 8 points behind Reecius, a few more behind Jonathan and then Frankie, who had 1st place.

Notable: All of my games only went to Turn 3. Opponents didn't slow play either. We were trying to crank through, but ... it's a lot of Assault Thrust dice rolls. A bit of anecdotal evidence for a push to reduce the Army Points to lower, 1650, 1500, etc.

I hope to hear if Albert, Gabriel or Chris will chime in on why our games didn't go faster (I'm perfectly willing to accept I'm taking too long).

As Casey said above, games finishing was a major problem. The April tournament will be held at 1650.

Casey, if you need to practice the new missions, I am happy to help. I've played them a lot and understand the new mechanics inside and out.

First post is up to date with everything I know. It looks like I'll actually be able to make the April event my first for the 2016 ITC season!

Also, congratulations to Frankie from FLG for winning it all with his dirty, nasty, no good, very bad Tau list.
