Gentlemen, I am defeated. One is finished and the other just needs his jump pack doing, but I am not going to make the deadline. I'll still post the finished product when it's ready as I'm only likely to be a day or so late. It's annoying as I've probably had the time to do it slightly earlier if I really tried, but this month has proven a lot busier than I anticipated on a number of levels. Don't let friends who are getting married talk you into running interference with their soon to be in-laws for a couple of hours, very soon you've lost most of a Saturday!
We can hang out in the back and clap together.

I look at it like, I could rush for the sake of the contest, but if it would compromise a model I will be enjoying and using in future? I stop and just hold my hands up.

Probably for the best. Why rush something and do a poor job on it when you can take your time later and make it good? Especially something like Fulgrim; a Primarch deserves much more care than a rush paint job.

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700

Gotta say so far these are all amazing!

Especially wanna say

Kb - That saliva effect is just devine. Looks disguting, but devine

GiraffeX - the effect youve done on his underbelly armor/scales is brilliant!

Last ones a bit blurry.

That model is Baldur the Stonesoul from Privateer Press.

He has a really cool theme in his fluff, and go with some nice models from the Circle Range for the Hordes game.

Thanks for everyone's patience. Here are my proper final photos of the first half of Dark Angels Squad Dom (10th Company, 1st Squad):

Led by Veteran Sergeant Dom, a Scout born to lead. He fights in the name of the Emperor and for the glory of his beloved Chapter. His squad lead him knowing that through him victory will be born. They are renowned for their successful skirmishes that have paved the way for the battle companies to swoop in and deliver the Emperor's message. They have a life bond with their scout brothers so need not wear squad markings for they will always know their kin and that they will soon take their places with their Tactical Marine brothers at which time they will adorn themselves with the honoured mark of their assigned Battle Company Squad.

Or something like that...

Hope you like them. C&C Welcome.

As mentioned, get me a pic or two of the mini and I'll see you get points for completion. Feel free to post them in this thread so everyone can see what you managed as well.

Yeah, exactly. While it's annoying to not finish quite for the deadline, it'd be more annoying to submit them below what I consider to be my standard just for the sake of it. I'd feel compelled to go and touch up the paint afterwards anyway so I might as well do it properly the first time round.

Should finish tonight, yesterday was a bit of a wash painting wise after my shower sprung a leak that needed fixing. Woohoo DIY plumbing!

Still lol'in about this... cuz you know, we're a mixed bag here he could end up with male nudes ^_^ therefore cash is obviously the better option

Clearly, I have offended the painting Gods in some way. Got in tonight and was sat down for no more than 5 minutes before I got a text from a buddy explaining that his lady-friend, with whom he was currently less than impressed judging by the plethora of expletives in his electronic missive, had just decided to part company with him and that it was time for us to imbibe some beverages (or rather I watch him do so and maintain my teetotality).

So that jump pack's still not done...
