That sure wasn't the case with the N3 rulebook pre-order (guys around here had it *weeks* before I did)

It may depend on where you live. I recall US retailers shipped out before CB was able to deliver to the US.

Australia may be the opposite considering it's upside down.

Retailers here started getting it today too, so the distributers must have gotten it last week.

Incidentally, any word on this month's models? Have they shipped yet?

Just double pistols and double flamers. The shild things attach to the arms as additional armour for the front.

The Flamethrower 'nozzles' look considerably different from each other.

Are we are sure it isn't some kind or tubey rangefinder or something on the opposite flamethrower hand?

Yeah it's either 2 heavy pistols or 1 heavy flamethrower. I'm not sure what it actually is on the other arm though.

I am guessing this settles for you that the base is included right?

Got my HSN3 today and it seems like they have gone with a smaller font, not great...

Judging5by the cutting mat, it looks to be a mite bigger than a GW small blast marker. Unless the mat is in CM...then I've got nothing lol.

Looks like 290-360 on that Mat so definitely 70mm.

Got my book today as well!

First thoughts are that the covers are awesome, in line with the N3 rulebook. So much energy in the art, makes me want to collect Knight Order (despite being totally sick of the 'knights in space' thing after painting about 8000 space marines over the years!) In general actually some really cool new artwork. Nice variety of styles as well as a few old favourites.

Like the different colouring/camo examples (as well as bits of background) for some of the more popular unit types, reminds me of the way they used to have Space Marine chapters layed out in the old Chapter Approved books ("Fire Hawks camo scheme for the jungle moons of Xanus III" etc. ) Would be really cool if they run with this for future releases and background, and have some more dedicated info on particular units and their actions.

I don't think there are complete army lists in HS are there?

Page 111 to 140 (the profiles) have their own PDF, so you need to download that one too.

Yeah, I haven't gone over it in detail yet but the separate profile PDF seems to be updated to include the new stuff, so you download that.

And man, they condensed it a lot. The old one had two units per page, this one has like ten.

Yeah, you're going to want to download the profiles. And the new weapons charts too. And the new marker sheets. Lots o' linky-team stuff.

The letter-sized marker PDF seems to be broken, unless it's just me.
