I'm not sure where to ask this (don't want to make a new thread), but is anyone else having trouble with the infinity website and forums for the past few days?

Both on my phone and on my desktop I get this:
http://puu.sh/pahF8/73c325ce9a.jpg
And if I try to visit the forums, it makes me enter a captcha first.. Anybody else or just me?

Sorry if this is too off-topic, it just didn't seem deserving of its own thread anywhere hehe...

It's fine on my IPad, both the website and the forum.

@Imageek, thanks. More on topic, those are quite cool looking...

EDIT: Guess I found out why I can't view it - they've been having trouble with spam bots originating in Korea, so seems like they might have limited access to korean ISPs or something... :(

Clear your browser cache and cookies, then try again. If that doesn't work, just wait a few hours. Also, stop using Internet Explorer (joking...)

Not a fan of the kosuil. Too busy. Or the photos are overlit. No problem. Not going to play Tohaa anyway.

Bagh Mari win the month. And we only got the 4 releases too, but I guess the Onxy box makes five.

Ah, I know what that Bashi Bazouk reminds me of. The concept art Moebius drew of a Space Pirate for the Dune Movie Jodorowsky was to make...

I find Haqq to be very Dune inspired faction.

You get some really, really odd stuff if you type 'Moebius Dune Space Pirate' into Google. I'm guessing none of the ones there that you are referring to Red Harvest!

Yes, you will get very odd stuff when you use Moebius as a keyword in any search.

So, I guess visors up is the new thing, huh?

Personally, I like it. I wouldn't like it to be overused, but in small doses, it helps keep a range looking varied and dynamic.

Plus, it looks technically impressive, from a sculpting point of view. Not sure if it is or not, but it's certainly flashy.

It is impressive enouph, but also gives some in depth fluff knowledge on how systems work.

Visor up is a nice design allowing real vision without sacrificing much of helmet protection.

While their face sculpting has come on leaps and bounds since the first few (see original PanO starter models /shudder), I prefer the helmets down.

It's possibly just a mild touch of OCD but it's the inconsistency that annoys me. There's just no reason for that one guy to have his visor up when every single other Bagh Mari doesn't (I can just about accept Rao's lack of helmet).

This sort of thing is probably best saved for the bootleg models (if they ever do more).

“Good people are quick to help others in need, without hesitation or requiring proof the need is genuine. The wicked will believe they are fighting for good, but when others are in need they’ll be reluctant to help, withholding compassion until they see proof of that need. And yet Evil is quick to condemn, vilify and attack. For Evil, proof isn’t needed to bring harm, only hatred and a belief in the cause.”

In case anyone from CB is scouring the Internet for feedback I would like to vote against limiting minor equipment variations to bootleg models...

I don't mind the faceplates being up, I think they just picked the wrong mini to do it on.

I could see it more on a Hacker or Doc. Insinuating they just need to have their actual eyes on something rather than their, what I assume would be a HUD.

You don't have to worry about that, apparently Bootlegs weren't a success. They've done a very minor few since the initial Bootleg release, but the idea seems to be DOA.

Shame, because if they hadn't picked the crummy "Pin-Up Poster Gurls Gallery" for the initial run that they did the line probably could have been well-received. Some of the ideas they had for the second set of Bootlegs(A battle-damaged Knight with a standard, an Intruder done up ala Scarface in a battle scene with the Intruder knifing a sentry, an Imperial Agent harassing some citizens, minor stuff like that) were just plain awesome.

I recall the Haqqi Hassassin Old Man of the Mountain being rumored as a Bootleg model at one point. Pity that.

Also rather surprising that the RPG civvies aren't Bootleg. They have less in-game uses than even the TAG pilots.

You need HVTs for every ITS game, which the civilians are perfect for.

Pity about the bootlegs. I wonder what their expectations were, they were always going to be very niche.

It's not like they can only have their visor up or down, they can all raise and lower them as they want. There's lots of reasons why one might want to raise their visor.

It sucks that it wasn't done because the crummy first wave sucked; but I'd rather they axe the line before the cool stuff instead of pumping out more in the same vein.

One of the female Mobile Brigadas had her visor up, too.

I'd forgotten about it until someone reminded me, but I liked it then, too.

One of the Naffatuns is lifting her visor as well.

I like it. They are using the increased size to add some more character to each model in the boxed sets, while still keeping to 2 bodies per set.
Comparing the Naffatun (with much less weapon variety) to the Sekban or Kaplan sets for instance; the Naffatun are a lot more distinct model to model. You can barely tell any of the Kaplan apart at table top distance.

Meh, not in my army. I'll be buying the box, but I won't be using that model. No doubt someone will take him on the swapshop, eBay, or wherever. Shame there are so few PanO players in my group (and none that collect Shock Army).

i don't understand what you have against pin-ups, Kan...
i think they are awesome models
they are definitely something that caters to the display painter, which is nice for me...

the rest of the ideas you listed do sound awesome!!!
too bad they are going to axe the line before we get more :(
the Scarface diorama is marked as discontinued in the online stores...
was there an announcement made about killing the Bootleg range???
i wasn't aware that they where going away until last week, when i randomly noticed it on a few of the web stores...

the Scarface dio is one of the coolest little scenes...
i am very impressed with the design and casting of the parts...
i'm glad i got one before they go away...

i grabbed the HVT Dragon Lady and Cossack Colonel on Sunday...
Dragon Lady is a lovely cast, with her parasol and pig...
the pig is tiny, though!!!
Cossack Colonel looks really good, and his doggie is big...
i'm going to have to cut the hand off of the leash, though, and resculpt the loose end...
there is just no way that i am leaving the cigar arm off of this guy...
it lends him so much character...

all in all, i am a huge fan of the Bootlegs, and HVT's...
very fun sculpts for the non-playing painter

cheers
jah

Paint like ya got a pair!

Available for commissions.
