Apparently 4-2 and sixth sense lvl1 came up for the Al Fasid in one of the reports.

4-2 is a bit disappointing, but at least he has lots of things he can do with his second short skill instead of move.

Was really hoping for mechanized deployment (even though it was always incredibly unlikely).

Just this variant, like Van Zant.

I apologize for asking what is probably an obvious question, is there Unknown Ranger going to be the Gencon Exclusive? If so that's a major bummer, that's a very cool sculpt.

This version is the GenCon exclusive. The general release one will most likely be the same body but with different arms.

I'm not up on all the ins & outs of Haqq, but that's not much of a list he was using.

The lists that they use for the battle reports are usually very sub-optimal. They're used to show off the latest shiny boxed set and throw in a nice, big showy TAG.

I seen them more as a showcase of "look at at these cool/pretty/awesome miniatures you can use in Infinity", as opposed to a well thought out list.

Nothing wrong with playing games of Infinity like that. I lament the fact that Infinity community has turned into such a 'run the optimal lists only' one so fast.

My favorite games have been when my brother or friend says 'hey, look at this awesome mini I just finished painting' and throws it in a list because feth, the mini just looks so awesome running around killing stuff.

Speaking of which, isn't that model like $80-something and all metal? Because if so, yikes.

Curious to see who he can link with, and in what sectorial. Eg. if he's linkable in Imperial Service, would he be compatible with any of the wacky links they can build?

So many games, so little time.

So many models, even less time.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I love the fact that they get to use cool stuff in the batreps, but if someone says that they used "sucky lists", I tend to see why they used the lists that they used.

Ahhh... who am I kidding?

Don't know the US price, but it's $88au (the next most expensive are the Stingray series, which are $69 and the Iguana, which is $56, then the Guija and Jotum which are $53au), and the and yes, all metal. I've held the box and, well. Wow. It's a heavy peice of kit. And that's after they discovered in production that it was too heavy and spent tome hollowing out the torso to make it lighter.

I always recommend trying stuff that gets derided on the internet, mostly because the game is incredibly well balanced and mostly about play styles. TAGs don't work for a lot of people, but they work for others and are good fun to use. Give it a try! I had a lot of fun and success with the Gorgos before it got its AP Spitfire, while it was considered unplayable.

General consensus is Celestial Guard, since it's an Imperial Service character according to its dossier.

Which is humorous, since these are meant to boost the starter forces, but the starter contains no Celestial Guard and is a combined arms generic force, not an ISS force, so it can't link anyway. Leila is a far better model for its points in that context.

BoW say the Antenocity dropships are meant to be hitting KS later this month (about 37:00)

Antenocity posted on facebook that the KSer is supposed to start Monday morning assuming everything comes together as planned.

There's even a KS page up in preview mode. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2097161002/1972462200?token=c77b9997

I hope they have time to post the concept for the other dropships I asked about as I only have money for one and I'm not sure if this is the one I'll like the best. Will be getting lots of decals though.

Edit: here's the quote on time:
The KS should be going LIVE on Monday around 1800 hours BST

We can blame the ITS scenarios for the min-max list building. (My axe to grind.) The season ends at Interplanetario, then CB will take a few months, then a few months more ( until Feb 2017 I'd guess) to revise them (maybe) and post 'em for ITS 2017. No idea how much, if any, HSN3, will change the scenarios. I've always had more fun with YAMs games than ITS games.

My gripe about Yu Jing is that you need to play vanilla to use their better standard units. Also then how often do you mix in JSA units when you play Vanilla Yu Jing? JSA units feel so out of place with the conventional Yu Jing.

I wish Imperial Service had more of the cool Yu Jing core units.
No Zuyongs, no Yan Huo, no Hac Tao, no Dao Fei, no Shang Ji, no Tiger soldiers, no Guilang, no Guija

Not that they have NO good options, but so many of Yu Jing's signature units aren't represented in either sectorial.
At least they made Wu Ming better since N3 & the new sculpts are such an improvement. The option to mix n match imperial agents with Bao & Wu Ming is a welcome change.

I eagerly await the new Yu Jing sectorials. A fireteam of Zuyongs with Sun Tze would be awesome.

Well, when I play vanilla, I have been known to use the Raiden HRL and... erm... that's it!

The exception that proves the rule.

I'm actually really happy with the limited choices in ISS, it makes the odd return to vanilla so much fun. How I manage to cope without Daofei, I'll never know...

Raiden HRL (even more so now), Karakuri, Aragotos, Domaru(mainly for looks), Oniwaban and Yuriko have all seen play in my vanilla lists.

I've been planning expanding the Yu Jing as well. Stage 1 is a Su Jian, Tiger Spitfire and the new Dire Foe. That brings it to 300/6. Play games with them and get them painted. When done, get the ISS starter, two Pheasant Agent sculpts (because they are some of my favorite Infinity sculpts, just the rest of the Yu Jin stuff never matched them) and Wu Ming box. Get those painted, play more games. Along the way get a Guija.

Essentially, outside of the Pheasant Agents, I want to stick to new sculpts only, and I want to expand them slowly as I paint them.

Keisotsu, Ninja, Oniwaban, Shinobu, Karakuri, and now the Shikami are all pretty common. Oh and not to forget the Tokusetsu and O-Yoroi which are great in vanilla as well. I guess it's different for those of us who started before this whole sectorials thing took off. In 1st Edition and beyond Keisotsu were basically the standard line troop of Yu Jing (you only took Zhanshi for LT hiding shenanigans and with N3 have private LT WIP that use isn't really front and centre anymore).

All of our TO skirmishers are JSA units technically, and with so many great new profiles for 'em in N3 it is hard to say no. Karakuri are tough as nails HI specialists. Shikami are just plain amazing high-mobility assault units. The Tokusetsu is an outright better Engineer/Doctor than the Mech-Engineer or the Zhanshi Yisheng because they cost a point less. And the O-Yoroi is a TAG that comes with area denial gear.

Seriously, vanilla Yu Jing without JSA is missing a hell of a lot.

I wish Imperial Service had more of the cool Yu Jing core units.

Another one of those generational things I think. The Hsien was one of Yu Jing's original and iconic power houses and I easily class it as a "core" unit. Before it was an IS staple, it was in vanilla lists alongside the monk being everyone's worst nightmare. It was a unit that worked so well most folks barely complained that it was outright worse than the Aquila in the last two editions. Such was the power of MSV2+Smoke.

More than that, when sectorials became a thing and we got Human Sphere for the first time it was a breath of fresh air to get a whole raft of new and fresh units. That the IS sprang up from a mere handful of profiles to give us so many new and exciting units was a boon and not a bane. We had been playing the same vanilla units for years at this point before 2nd Edition and Human Sphere came about. I'm glad the IS was its own thing and wasn't just a greatest hits list of Yu Jing fan favourites. Instead it created new fan favourites like the Su-Jian, the Celestial Guard, and the Kuang Shi which have in many ways become just as iconic as the Tiger Soldier or Daofei.

Beyond that, the fluff of those units you mention doesn't really match up with the operating parameters of the Imperial Service. Those things are all StateEmpire army attack units, IS are anti-insurgency specialists. SWAT teams aren't military units and military units aren't SWAT teams. They should definitely play and behave differently on the field. We will get standard army sectorials soon (IA and White Banner), for now I am content to have all my favourite things from the sectorials (and those that haven't found their sectorial yet) in vanilla.

Not that they have NO good options, but so many of Yu Jing's signature units aren't represented in either sectorial.
At least they made Wu Ming better since N3 & the new sculpts are such an improvement. The option to mix n match imperial agents with Bao & Wu Ming is a welcome change.

With the advent of N3 the IS has become an incredibly competitive list with a whole ton of stellar options in it. They have a great flavour all their own and I'm glad it isn't diluted by just breaking down and giving them things that don't quite fit the theme. N3 is the best they have ever been.

No, I don't recall when it was the last time they've openly talked about their future plans with larger audience either.

I am not surprised they're putting out the merchandise like this. Do wonder what quality is the mousepad going to be, a cheap and small pad with Infinity logo isn't going to be worth it (although the scale certainly leans towards one of the smaller pads). A nice logo/motive with a similar quality of a gaming pad such as Razor or Roccat would be sweet.

I'm thinking (hoping?) that CB has learned from past...mistakes and will in fact be putting out some quality product.

From the look of the silhouettes, it doesn't look like anything I'm particularly interested in, but maybe?

And if it sells well, maybe they'll expand the line into stuff I would want.

And hopefully they're partnering up with someone so it won't be too distracting from them and what is their mainline business!

No not really I do not,.

So, a company thinks Infinity is good enouph to make merchandise products for it and CB licence it to them, what is the problem again?

Deliverance of poor quality product/service will negatively affect all parties involved in the deal. The loyal customers might see it differently.

I have not heard of Games Badges. BTP however was an entire different can of worms, I think.
