Why does this always devolve into a "who does GW neglect more" debate....

Because some Chaos (and to a lesser extent Dark Eldar players) stay true to their fluff and feed on their strife. Any time someone else gets something it's an excuse for them to complain they didn't get it instead.

Anyways... back to Space Wolves... I do hope they finally get rid of the relatively 2 dimensional character models left in the lineup. I doubt they'll get a gargantuan or superheavy vehicle as BA and vanilla marines didn't since the Knight effectively fills that role for Imperials for the most part. Unfortunately, I can't say that with absolute certainty given the ridiculousness of Santa Logan and his wolf sleigh. I'm also dreadfully curious to see what they do with the grey hunter/blood claw kit. That kit was incredible when it came out in terms of the variety and sheer amount of bits it had as well as the value compared with future kits. I wonder if it'll get a large price increase or be split in half at a slight discount (both ending up costing more per model to players).

What runepriest models have SWs currently got bar Njal? Do they have an official one?
Im trying to recall. Perhaps a new kit for them?

The Terminator is as old as my youngest brother.

I gotta say, the Rune Priest from 13th Company still holds up though.

And I think that remains the last Jes Goodwin sculpted Marine. What a great model it was.

And Wolves aren't a subfaction. Never in the history of the game have they been. They were the first Codex ever published by GW. The 13th Company are the subfaction.

The thing is, wolves have always used the same model for either Rune Priests or WOlf priests. I wouldnt mind getting a dual plastic kit to build either. =/

No they haven't.

I just hope that if genuinely "new" units show up, IE Wulfen(sic) that i'll be able to integrate them into my army with a box or two, rather then them releasing in some fluffy detachment where they only like playing with their own.

I mean yes, of course i'll be able to, but I am just hoping these are more "additions" than an actual sub-faction that will call for multiples of each of the new releases for best effect.

THOSE ARE JUST MARINES WITH WOLF STUFF!!! not even a real army, just a subset.


My marines with spikes are their own army, totally different army, not just spehs marines who are traitors at all!

The models for Rune Priest are: the 2nd Njal, the 2nd Edition Terminator, the 3rd edition Rune Priest shown above (which was marketed as a Wolf Priest, weirdly enough), and the Njal Terminator from 5th.

The models for Wolf Priest are a bit thinner: 2nd edition Ulrik, and 3rd edition Games Day 2003 Wolf Priest (yes, marketed as a Rune Priest initially).

I think it is easier to use Librarians as Rune Priests than it is to use Chaplains as Wolf Priests. As a Wolf player, we do pretty well on kits, but I would not mind a generic Wolf Priest kit. It would make sense with a Wulfen release, especially if they keep the old Wulfen rules.

If they go that route, its likely to be a Harlie-esque release. Ok as a standalone faction but very niche and subjective to play.

However, if allied with SW (or possibly other SM factions - as allies) they'll be very good / force multipliers / different builds.

Well, the entry for the 13th company was a bit unique for a Wolf Priest/Rune Priest.

Dark Warrior just posted the teaser text from the end of White Dwarf 105 (January 30 issue) on the german forum Gw-Fanworld

DW is as reliable as it gets. That issue will be released on February 6, 2016

No one has seen the miniatures yet, but Atia was hinting at a plastic kit.

Nice to see a confirmation of the timeline. And the presumed plastic Wulfen Kit. Now just have to hope that the models look good.
