Seems a bit odd there's just the one affiliation. I mean, I know the Justice League basically works like that, but it'd be nice to see some other teams on there somehow.

On that note, I'll probably lose my resistance to this game once I can run a team of Green Lanterns. Hoping Ch'p is super OP.

Also a Marvel FAQ errata that hands out some new abilities, a bunch of new scenarios and MUMG stats for Spider-man, Punisher, Daredevil and Green Goblin... now we just need those models to become regularly available!

Trouble is, as you say, DC doesn't really have the semi-clear denominations that Marvel has. With Marvel, the Fantastic 4, X-men, Avengers and the Guardians stick to their own spheres, mutants deal with mutants, space guys deal with space stuff ect. Meanwhile, the Justice League has the magic stuff from Wonder Woman, Earth-based humans and metahumans like Batman and The Flash, and are caught up in cosmic events via Superman, Martian Manhunter, the Green Lanterns ect.

But hell yeah, a pure Green Lanterns set would be amazing. Hal or John, Kilowog, Ch'p and Tomar Re or Alisia... I'd be all over that in a second!

Looking through the rulebook, the DC universe rulebook appears to be a copy paste of the Marvels universe in which they did a find "Marvels" and replace it with "DC".

The DC Universe Rulebook mentions -

"Based on the epic, best-selling DC Universe, this game includes many of the well-loved characters that have thrilled comic book fans for generations - Spider-Man, the Avengers, the Fantastic Four, the X-men, SHIELD, and many more - "

Yeah, the funny thing is...

They're typo'ed the heck out of the updated Marvel rulebook. - According to the Marvel rules, throws are once per game, with the example being completely wrong.

I'm happy with the DC one, I've ended up with a full team, partly thanks to the Suicide Squad set...

Deadshot
Harley
Joker

Then my
Reverse Flash
Ra's Al Ghul
Deathstroke
Killer Frost

Ironically, only my Killer Frost is the pictured model (well, technically I have the right Deadshot too, but meh, movie one looks cooler).
I'm not going to go out and buy the 'correct' models though, I'm already buying the Trinity and I've had my own equivalent models for them for over a year. :p
Heh, even my Green Arrow and Flash models aren't the 'right' ones for the pictures...

I wouldn't worry about the pictures matching up fro the DCU game. I highly doubt they will have multiple versions of the same character for quite some time in that game.

Very big of them to add the cards for models already in existence. Though, I do feel like they missed a few. Where's my Venom?

Yeah, there are a few missing ones. I'm surprised Nightwing, Katana, Arsenal and at least one Robin didn't make the cut when Batgirl did. Likewise on the villainous side of things, I'd think Captain Cold, Heatwave, Mister Freeze, Captain Boomerang and would work as level 4-5 characters. Still, this does give me a good excuse to buy minis like Black Manta, Cyborg and Lobo that I didn't think really made sense in BMG but still really like, if they can pull double duty then they just got shunted up the queue!

I wonder if future releases that suit both systems will come with two cards?

Why not one of the standard batman either?

My gut says people will be a bit upset that a 'standard' Batman is only worth 6 or 7 points, as opposed to being super pwnage awesomeness awesome.

They would also want to sell the set with batfleck they have just released.

I think it's remarkable from a business perspective. An interesting risk - it's essentially a free game.

I think the idea is to get around the problem they had with Marvel where everyone spent the first 2-3 months going 'where are the villains?'. Especially since we have only one dedicated set at launch rather than 3, so they needed some kind of opposing faction.

I think the free game route has worked out quite well for Corvus Belli with Infinity, you still need the minis to play and that's where they make most of their money. With this, if people just play using their existing BMG collections, KM lose nothing, while it encourages people to pick up the new stuff and the dual-purpose minis.

Does anyone know a good place to get the Spiderman and Punisher models from the SMMG now that they have profiles? Ebay doesn't have a single listing, and no other store except Knight models seems to carry them. I don't want to spend 30+ for one miniature.

Good luck. Only place I found Punisher in the US was the last one on CMoN's site. That was about 4 months ago now, and he's sitting pretty on my friend's shelf. Spidey might still be available there, but definitely no Punisher.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Well its not free, but the heroclix route is vastly cheaper. At the end of the day, its always you support the company, the company will support the game. I know a lot of people though, and myself included who when it first came out bought the latest heroclix packs, did some repaints and stuck on bases and played. I started with Heroclix avengers and actual KM guardians set.

This is a great move though as it does make me want to buy more minis from them

From: https://bigcomicpage.com/2016/11/21/geeking-out-exclusive-interview-with-mark-latham/

BCP: And excitingly, you’re now working on the BMG campaign system. What can you tell us about this?

ML: I loved doing this. The Arkham Knight book is my first solo project for Knight Models, and touches on my first love in skirmish gaming: campaigns. It really plays to my strengths—I’ve been writing campaign systems since my first game, Legends of the Old West, was released… ooo, longer ago than I’d care to admit. This book will give you general rules for character development during campaigns, friendly tips for running different types of campaigns, and new play modes, such as Predator Mode, where you can take one tooled-up hero against lots of henchmen. The centrepiece of the book is, of course, the Arkham Knight campaign. This takes the basic plot of the recent video game, and turns it into a tree campaign. So you can play through the story mode, unlock side missions, advance with WayneTech upgrades; the works!

The money in games is always in the miniatures.

Going with free rules that you regularly update for balance (as has just been done with the Marvel stuff) tells your customers that you care about the game being playable and have a commitment to it.

I have no problems spending some money on some KM Marvel and DC stuff now because I can be fairly sure the heroes and villains will get rules.

The suicide squad box has some card terrain buildings.

Anyone know anywhere else you can that kind of terrain?

I'm sure Knight will eventually release a cardboard Gotham set. Until such a point, if you're wanting something similar, you're probably stuck looking at MDF sets, such as 4Ground or Tabletop combat...

We've seen the Aaron Cash model plus his mates, we just didn't their names. I would have gone with "Arkham Security" myself, but I suppose 'quick response team' is a little more generically suitable.

I have to admit I didn't twig that was Cash in the FlArrow book. This means, from ones seen in book, we're just waiting on Militia III, Hawk, Raven and GRODD! I think that's it in terms of models pictured.

Really hoping that Cash and his Quick Response Team aren't going to be the Special Forces that Flag can take more than one of. Hoping for REAL Special Forces like in the SS movie.

Cash is a cop in Arkham Knight so maybe the generic side is so he can be used as both Security or Cop?

On another note, with the release of Electrocutioner all 8 assassins from Arkham Origins are available in some form, with over half (Deadshot, Deathstroke, Copperhead, Bane and Shiva) having models specifically of their appearance in the game. Firefly also has a similar design, even though he's based off the Arkham Knight design from memory, the suits are pretty close to identical across the 2 games, and Killer Croc has the Suicide Squad version which rules-wise is pretty appropriate. I'd certainly make a house rule to see that list at least once, it'd be pretty cool although not 100% 'fluffy'

I mainly play 30k, but am still fairly active with 40k. I play Warcry, Arena Rex, Middle-Earth, Blood Bowl, Batman, Star Wars Legion as well

It would make a great campaign, a series of 8 themed missions that puts Batman up against each assassin in turn with different objectives/mechanics for each. I know it was mentioned that there's an Arkham Knight campaign book coming, so maybe we'll see some inspiration there.

Going by AO, though, Electrocutioner better be Endurance 1...

Graven raises a good point though, where is my GRODD!?
