Black Adam alone will get me to play the DCUMG.

Can NOT wait to see what he does.

Potential for an amazing model too.

I wonder what suit they'll go with for Lex. I'd like to see something based on either Injustice or Forever Evil, but the latter is probably a little too Iron Man.

It occurs to me that if this Batman and Robin set has new sculpts rather than a repack, it'll be the third Batman they've released in as many months... I'd guess it'll just be the SSquad Batman and probably Damian Robin since he's the one in the rulebook.

Batman isn't terrible but that Robin...young impressionable boy taking fashion advice from suicide squad era Harley Quinn....eww.

I quite like the Batman, that cape is fantastic and it's nice to finally have one based on the classic comic look. and I think in a sort of late 90s scheme with a darker grey and blue and a bit of black he'd look great.

Robin I'm not a fan of, but again I'm glad we finally have a Dick Grayson Robin and the stats are pretty decent, I might run Damian that that card from time to time, though it'd mean giving up Batfleck... the new Batman is decent though... Especially if your moral compass is absolutely fine with a bit of Robin sacrifice to get that 2+ Strength!

I like the models. Its a great nod to the comic look of both. I am almost always impressed with the ability for Knight Models sculptors to recreate images in 3D form. The Frank Miller Batman, Suicide Squad movie models, and now these.

That said, I love the rules too. In particular, using this Robin with the Teen Titans rules makes for a very competent models for the points. I have been avoiding the Titan because of their flaws, but this works nicely.

The interesting one with this one, is that the Robin looks based off of the 50mm version from their collectors range (no point linking pictures, it's pretty much identical). - I didn't think they could do that sort of resizing unless it was a CAD sculpt.

It's the same pose, but it's definitely not identical, no resizing just a resculpt for the game scale.

Do they have the rights to the Tim Burton film?

Cash and Cops:

Freeze Henchmen:

Black Adam:

Lex Luthor:

Reaper:

New templates:

Mostly, on my phone.

Snow shovel goon is awesome! Reaper is a bit goofy to me, though I can see me converting to a Phantasm. I like Cash and we'll see if they're Law or something else entirely. Less keen on the way they imply pushing the gun-meta which really starting to dominate the game, albeit as the viable way of keeping goons a-going. Light template is neat, what's the big bat do you think?

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Cash is Law, affliate: Batman (&Aversion Killer Croc ), others are Law/GA/Bats. Really, really surprised they're not Elite: Special Forces for Flag, though.

The basic Quick Response guys are all available to Bats/Arrow/Law forces as Henchmen, Cash is a Sidekick for Law but has Affinity: Batman so he can be a Free Agent there.

I think it's a nice set really, in many ways a more practical version of the Gordon/SWAT set as it comes to a round 150 Rep and $1000, so you can actually use the whole lot in 300 Rep Games unlike the SWAT for which you'd need Adam West/Alfred for the extra funding.

There do seem to be a lot of guns in recent sets, but I think that's as much a product of where the range is at as trying to push a new meta, pretty much everyone has knife/baseball bat/unarmed/pistol/shotgun/assault rifle guys now, so they need to start diversifying just so they're not doubling up on basic weapons. I have to say the new QRT guns are pretty nice, there's a 2-stun Mechanical Riot Gun as a cheap option, a carbine and essentially a Sniper Rifle that paired with any kind of illuminate ability could be dropping people across the board.

Stat cards for the team:
Spoiler:

Reaper is a sidekick specifically for Black Mask which is interesting.

Isn't 'Phantasm' basically the Reaper?

With a costume change?

The Quick Response team are actually pretty neat, they'd make a great ACU filler for TV Arrow teams.

Someone put up the stats for Lex Luthor and Black Adam on facebook, I'll try to grab those, but EXCITE. Black Adam looks SOOO powerful!

Last we heard, no. Models from those movies are often at the top of the list of desired.

Those Quick Response guys are quite nice. There's a decent amount of choice for Law forces now, with good Boss options.

Rick Flagg's Special forces should be ARGUS soldiers. I'm expecting similar stats to Bane's merc crews. And such a set should be usable for Law forces again.

Black Adam looks pretty neat, beefy card too. Don't like Lex's power armor as much, the pose.. something doesn't speak to me.

The snow goons are cool though, and Reaper is kinda neat.

The first guys aren't bad, though I dunno why the poor lady doesn't have the same outfit, seems to be missing kneepads. The poses are also kinda 'waiting round for action' mostly, but I guess overly dynamic poses can be obnoxious too.

Pretty prolific really, that's a fair bit of stuff coming out.

Cards for Reaper and the Snow twins:

Also, a comparison of the 35mm and 70mm Robins shows they are different models, not the same CAD. Obviously the same inspiration though.

I'll probably be getting Aaron Cash and Lex. Black Adam ruleswise is amazing but I have absolutely no interest in the character or model. Despite my Team Evil really could take advantage of a heavy hitter.

Preorders are up on a number of sites.

Dynamic Duo two-pack, being the only abnormal blister, is listed as $30 suggested retail, though I'm seeing $24 as sale price.

Pricing seems to be confused on Luthor, Element and Wayland have him at upwards of £20 while The Outpost (and KM themselves) have him at the same price as a normal blister.

But then Element had the Trinity set listed at regular single-model price for about 2 weeks last month before they changed it, so I'm not surprised!

Yeah, I heard about that. In the US stores, I'm seeing Luthor as regualr-blister price. So, its probably an Element issue again.

Images of Marvel unreleased cards have been discovered. These are the last of the models that KM had already produced at the 35mm range. So, like the last month's releases of Spider-Man, Punisher, Daredevil and Green Goblin, we will likely see these models repacked soon.

Here's Thanos, Elektra, Loki, and Venom.

I'm not sure what to make of Thanos really. He doesn't seem that Jilly all things considered.

Loki looks suitably trollific though, just as the god of mischief should.

There's a...Green Goblin model?!?

And how is Dr. Doom in terms of power level?

I might have to seriously start looking at the marvel version of their game...

Made in gb
Fixture of Dakka

Yeah Green Goblin I think is part of this latest waves of releases. The model was released previously as part of their collectors series, they're now rereleasing it as a gaming piece.

Too out things in context power wise, the points system is bad on 'levels' with your typical game being 50 levels each. Your average marvel model is 7 levels, such as Cap, Iron Man or Colossus. The bulk of the models are 6-8 levels.

Hulk weighs in at an incredible 17 levels. Whereas, Spiderman isa 10, DOOM is 11 and Green Goblin is 8. This makes Thanos at 20 the most expensive model in the DC or Marvel games. The second most expensive is Supes at 18

Green Goblin Model, but Marvel rules are not listed there.

Doom is a little above average on the power scale, but comes with a significant negative that hinders his team. But, he can be on 4 different teams; good or bad superheroes, and good or bad cosmic teams.. So, that's interesting.
