AK campaign book is probably before summer.

As a retailer I'm still waiting for that call saying I can't sell my stock that I own.... because it's not coming. KM may have a legal agreement that expired but the stock that's out there is out there. People who own it (including shops) can do what they want with it. If it's vanished it's because it's sold out not because any legal pressure from an evil empire.

So wait... back when I was into comics.. wasn't Jason todd one of Batman's Robins, who got killed? I remember my copy of that issue was worth like $100 at one point.. now it's probably worth $2.

Was he really not dead all along? Or brought back to life in a hideous experiment gone wrong?

Cool! I hope the book makes its way onto US online retailers with the pre-order fig soon!

Watch the DC Animated movie "Under the Red Hood".

It basically explains all of this, at least the way the comics did it. "Arkham Knight" went a different (and IMO far darker) route that I won't spill the beans on here. If you want to know it, PM me.

Next month's releases: Catwoman (modern; DCU and BMG), Supergirl (DCU), Aquaman (DCU), AK NIghtwing, AK Penguin Crew, AK Penguin Lieutenant.

Also, pre-orders for the AK Campaign Book, with the alternate Arkham Knight model, are up at Knight Models. Keep an eye out for other retailers having the pre-order.

How many Marvel models did they have? Were many people playing the game? Seems like a pretty huge bomb to drop on people who had invested in it.

Earth 616

By my very bad count, 44 total Marvel 35mm models in production, about 5 of which never had official Marvel Universe game releases. (Plus 32 70mm Marvel models, and an additional 5-6 alternate sculpts.)

And, yes, the announcement came pretty quickly, after months of speculation.

About 3 weeks ago FRP had all the Knight Models spiderman stuff up for sale plus some others. I ordered the spiderman set, green goblin set, thanos, electra, venom. It showed them to have good stock for all of them They approved my order. Three days back they said they could not get any of the marvel stuff I had ordered. Talk about going from a high to a low. So they refunded me but it sucks because I was looking forward to nabbing that stuff up. Luckily I have all the marvel line models they make except for Thing. I have always been a heavy marvel lover so I will probably buy hero clix figures and make some stat cards for the marvel game. Really sad though. Does anyone know if anyone started making cards for some of the hero clix models that Knight models should have made (thinking most brotherhood models, iceman, bishop, forge, cable, mr sinister strife, sentinels?

I am looking forward to the arkham knight campaign.

This link has a bunch of 'leaked' Marvel stuff that was apparently in playtesting before the drop, should give you something to work from:

Wow, that's a lot of stuff they had in progress. Kind of makes you think this was all very short notice for KM, too.

Maybe? KM had gone something close to 6 months without a new release from Marvel before the announcement. And the last two of their starters (Brotherhood and Dark Avengers) did not come with rule books or scenarios. In fact, I think they were priced higher as well.

Whatever the case, the end came quickly and thuroughly. Looks like KM has also dropped ALL their 70mm models (DC, Lord of the RIngs, and modern military). They are no longer on their site.

I'm glad I got the 70mm Superman then (which naturally, I've never touched, a year after I bought him).

Though I've always been tempted by the Wolverine VS Sabertooth fight...

Thank you a ton for posting that link. That was so many of the characters I wanted to add. Do you know if there is a fan base that is working on cards for some of the other missing main players.

The only custom character I could find was Winter Soldier. Anything more I'm missing?

Non-released, but leaked cards are:

Ant Man, Beast, Blob, Bullseye, Capt Marvel, Daken, Falcon, Juggernaut, Mystique, Psylock, Sabertooth, Silver Surfer, Storm, Winter Soldier.

According to at least two sources, these cards were play-tested for nearly a year, and essentially at the point of approval. No known models though.

I've seen that list and the stat cards for them. I'm already working on my Juggernaut and Psylocke and Archangel (using Falcon rules) are on the workbench. They aren't quite "custom"; I thought the FB group was supposed to be presenting custom characters.

If anyone has connections or wants to build characters, I'm requesting custom builds for the following figures:
Cable (neutral X)
Apocalypse (team apocalypse)
4 Horsemen (team apocalypse)
Maverick (neutral X)
Avalanche (evil X)
Domino (neutral X)
Iceman (good X)
Proper Archangel would be nice (good X, team apocalypse)

New BMG FAQ and Batmatch rules.

Most definitely an interesting read and some significant changes to some characters and crews. Speedsters are boosted, AC Joker rep is increased, Dallas may be less common, and you can formally bat-cape off a building by choice.

Big changes to cost of the Joker - 105 for AC and 90 for Ledger. Sad but glad. They're trying to listen to the community, which is no bad thing.

Seems odd to stick a 15 point increase on a model that's been in the game for 5 years now, but probably fair as AC Joker is pretty darn awesome.

It's also about balancing the meta. Joker swarm is dominating batmatch again. Edit: Interesting to see Ringmaster down to 28 (my feelings on his general rubbishness are well known) Scaling of old stuff is entirely appropriate, and it's good to see the game evolving.

Some neat changes in there, the speedster one I'm a big fan of (gotta bring out Barry this weekend methinks) and the change to teams is pretty awesome.

They've added the team bonuses from Batmatch into the regular FAQ, which is something I feel like they needed to be able to stand against some of the horde lists (Joker and Two-Face are 2 I've had experience against which was pretty messy). Teen Titans in particular I feel love this change, as the clarification to team composition means you can pretty effectively remove their downside (AK Nightwing becoming a leader to remove half the inexperience counters, then whatever sidekicks/free agents to taste).

All in all, this FAQ I both like and don't, as it does a lot of work for balancing the game, but also gives me so much more I want to try again (on top of the 12-odd free agents and sidekicks I haven't had a chance to use yet)

I really like the look of the new penguin and street demonz but I am a fan of the AK video game. The only gripe I have is that two of the crew are wearing gasmasks but don't include that as equipment in their card. So do they have it or don't they and why model them with it if they don't?

Arkham City Limits Facebook page is now once again the "official" Facebook for BMG. https://www.facebook.com/groups/batman.miniatures.game/

Take that as you want it.

The Penguin crew does seem more thematic instead of WYSIWYG. Pretty sure Penguin can take gas masks for his crew though.

EDIT: The New AK Campaign book promises more vehicles. Here's an example:

That's a little too serious for Joker IMO. I would have preferred something like this.
