The army looks lovely. I think you've got a really good purple there, which is easy to mess up.

Someone (maybe Paradigm) suggested that when you go back and add more details you add some weathering, I hope you don't, or at least keep it very very minimal, as I just can't see Emperor's Children leaving their armour scratched from one battle to the next.

Though guards may sleep and ships may lay at anchor, our foes know full well that big guns never tire.

He had a great time. The army worked very well. Couple of minor tweaks needed but quite good overall.

Is that last photo a Zone Mortalis board? I like that it has a natural setting rather than corridors (although the more techy tables were sweet, too, it's cool to mix it up!).

It'd be quite a road trip indeed, over 8.500 km., (5.100 miles, if still using those), plus jumping over the Panama Channel...

I'll start.saving...

Meanwhile, and to get back on topic, any more pics?

My stupid anniversary is the 24th, so not likely, plus my wife's spring break or my kids spring break is usually that week or the one before or after it.

Yeah.. the event had multiple locations.. below ground and above ground. The Terrain was well done and the scenarios were based on the boards.

What a great way to spend family time than a gaming convention and taking her to Chicago!

I like the new dates. Won't conflict with my wife's birthday!

Next steps are to re-visit the painted models, do some edge highlighting, add frippery and maybe a little dust on the boots and some very sparse combat damage. Also need to finish painting the rapier.

The purple/gold is fantastic.

Have you thought about knocking the shine off the bases? I think it would make the armor look even better, by not having to compete with the rim of the base.

Finally beginning to paint again after several weeks of no motivation. Starting to work on the Dorito dread... just blocking out the steel bits.

It really is a nice purple you have going on there Gits. Did you manage to diagnose why there was a lack of motivation?

@Knightley: Not really, it just happens from time to time. I allow myself a bit of time off then work back into painting slowly. 30+ minutes a night... until I get back into the mood again.
