Current bid; £29

So if you need reassurance, remember this guy who's paying £5 extra than he needed to

Maybe he's in an embargo'd country? I bet it's probably worth closer to £50 in Oz.

I wouldn't think so, its limited to UK as far as I can tell from the shipping information...maybe he's on holiday. Anyway, I found it pretty amusing until I realise I've bought £100 worth of second hand stuff this month already :-(

I've been pretty good all year, with my purchases being non-model accessories: things like books, movement trays, wash, etc. I've also painted a ton of models.

However, last weekend was Adepticon, and while I did a lot better this year than prior, I bought some models. Still, I don't feel too bad. The only thing bought at retail was a set of post-apocolytic civilians from a game I demo'd. The game was pretty forgettable but the minis were nice and $30. I don't feel bad. I also dropped $60 at Secret Weapon for some of their new paints, a pigment set, pigment sealer, and a few washes. Finally, I hit the swap meet, and grabbed two Orc & Goblin Bolt Throwers for $10, and three earthshaker carriages for $40!

All told, that's ten more models, plus the free stuff in my swag bag. I'm way ahead for the year on model count, and my spending is way, way down.

Now... back on the horse!

I finally got around to buying some Skaven this year. I always wanted a Skaven army when I was younger, but didn't have the cash. After buying a battalion box and some other sets I found the Isle of Blood starter set sitting on a shelf at a hobby shop. 100 bucks flew out of my wallet. I swear I'm done for a while after that purchase. I've got so much to paint I'll be busy for years.

I just dropped a small armies worth of cash on a Nikon D3300 and accessories. (My wife called me an accessory whore, it's true) Having fun learning to use it. Once I get all my goodies from Amazon I will start doing more youtube videos.

My progress is kind of slow but I am working on models every chance I get. I am pretty motivated and looking forward to finishing a lot of stalled projects.

Are bits necessary to finish off conversion and modelling toools included in the vow? >_> If not, I'm in until xmas!

I think one could argue for bits required to finish a particular project. But buying bits for future use would be breaking the spirit of the vow.

Well I'm only buying bits to finish the HE army I got here so... I guess that's not breaking the spirit.

I'm struggling to stay on the wagon. The missus and I are moving soon, so the budget is tight. The temptation of eBay is ever present. So far I've been able to resist; No model purchases recently. I bought some spray varnish, 40% off with coupon, so I feel pretty OK about that. I "need" it to finish some models. If only I had more models painted that I actually needed to varnish.

Wouldn't it be easier to....'stay true' by not posting on wargaming forums about it, period?

Don’t you know the HHHobby is purchasing GW products? Everything after that point doesn’t matter!

(sorry, I don’t normally post the GW-snark, but I’m under-caffeinated and a little torqued at them ATM.)

A few individual miniatures I got on E-Bay
2 Reaver Stone Rock Golems

All that needs paint...I need to get busy!!

My non-purchasing vow (anything else that requires painting ist verboten) was being rigidly adhered to right up to the point I played the Dark Souls boardgame demo at Salute this morning. I will be breaking it as soon as that one launches. Damn.

Please... please... I need help.

I have arranged a modest budget per month with my wife but it has been breached each and every month this year... Wargames Exclusive has cursed me with fine looking necrons. And I caved in and bought the new overlord. And more paint. I need to help...

Worst place to be posting this; but Element Games is currenly offering Imperial Knights Renegade for 20% off, meaning its only £96. In comparison, a Knight Warden is £85 without shipping

You've got to remain strong! Remember to finish what you have before starting anything new-this includes testing it out on the tabletop.

Does Element Games offer some kind of free international shipping? I was so excited, but then wayland is asking 30+ quid just for postage. And our main GW stockist doesn't do any kind of deals that would be really worth considering. Then again, I found one on pre-orders on ebay for 114 quid posted total...
But then again, I need to be painting what I already have, the Knights can wait. And then there's never ending temptations from Forge World. Damn you, Imperial Navy :|

There is always going to be a great sale on something you want. You can wait and grab the next one, you can let this one pass.

And remember to say that when the next thing that’s too good to pass up comes along.

I didn't buy overkill, was really close though. It's been how long now? They'd still be in a box right now, judging me.

It has worldwide shipping, but you have to make an account to see the prices if any. If I go down that route now I wont come back

I was in a self-imposed moratorium too, since November, following a FW purchase, in order to paint everything and because of €€€€.
But a BaC box at 70€ corrupted me and I broke my vows.
Now I'm doing a Traitor Legion....

Currently fighting hard against KD resins... I'm trying to convince myself they'll all have encores, but that 1st run Cleric would go well with my 1st run Fighter... Maybe it'll sell out in a few minutes.
