Large armies are really difficult to photograph, actually. The last group shot I ever took of my IG was from 2008, when it was about 2/3 the size it is today:



Three years later, just the infantry is almost the same size:

I kind of disagree. 5,000 points of 40k models can be the result of a bad night on ebay. 5000 points of painted 40k models is the result of a lot of effort.

7500-8000 pts of daemons.

Maybe 1200 painted points. I work wayy too much and have almost no time to paint. I've stopped buying models mostly because I'm ashamed of my pile of grey sadness.

Once you have 3,000 - 4,000 - 5,000+ points painted, it doesn't really matter that much. You can play at a drop of a hat.

Painted only, guys. Anyone counting unpainted probably cheats at solitaire!

1500 points Crimson Fists (+400 unpainted. Need to finish those terminators)

I'll never agree with this sentence. It's either painted or it isn't.

I know I have about 13K of daemons alone. I think my SW are around 4K, and I believe my R&H are massively variable pending on what the infantry are. I would put them at anywhere from 3K to 6K.

Grey Knights - I have a full battle brotherhood and most of the paladin and purifier corps, not counted lately but it must come in over 15k

Small Dark Eldar force about 3k

Assassins around 500

Inquisition 200 maybe?

That is why I've been working to get everything playable! Or traded / sold. Every reduction in the unbuilt box/sprue count is a plus in my book!

My armies are smaller than they should be, probably because I have a quite good hobby attitude. I never use anything unpainted, and I don't move onto another project if I haven't finished the previous.

10k Eldar.
10k Blood Angels/Space Marines.
3k Tau (Farsight Enclaves; 6 Fire Warriors, everything else is Battlesuits and Drones).
1.5k Harlequins.

Around 30k base points. That doesn't include upgrades etc. no idea if you go wysiwyg.

This is across most of the product line: eldar, dark eldar, nids, tau, marines ( various flavors ), ig, necron and daemons
