I was pretty similar, unfortunately I'd already started a marine before I found this thread! So it'll have to be the next one that enters!

Sweet, might bring in some new people? Hello new people!

Proofs for this month:

And work in progress, because I need to get them finished(ish) for a game next weekend! Note I'd already done a fair bit on the Praetor, so he's not in the competition, but I'm going to be finishing him with the others, so he will be photo-bombing the group

Here's a WiP:

I'm really enjoying painting this dude. It's been a while since I've done a single mini with nothing else on my painting table.

So I went on a 5 hour painting mission and ended up with this:

That was great fun

He's 90% done, there's a new base to come, BFTBG spray Matt varnish and then brush gloss varnish for the claws, but that's it. So best get back to the Deathwing seeing as how that is the theme of this month!!!

Started work on the squad today, bad work station picture I know I was just too lazy to pull out the light box and set it up.

Think I'm done enough with these, corrections on the bases really didn't work well.

Proof pic:

and the final product:

Not really happy with the eyes, and trying to take the base from white-glue-gloss to matte just kinda resulted in a cloudy mess.

Also: anybody know how to resize images? Initially tagged these with img, but that just is format breakingly big...

I love that color scheme Whittlesey! It's got a real "Kill All Humans!!!" feel.

Ok so I got some work done and all five of my Sekban are at this level:

Lots of work to do but the boring parts are mostly done (armor).

Urgh! I've heard you need lots of brain power to build infinity figures I've got loads of backlog to get through, but may look at them at some point.

They are harder especially the old ones. Anything from the last year or so is much bette though. It requires about a 10th of the models though so there's that!

If you played 40k back with metal models it's not an issue.
Of course, you really need a lot of brains to play the game anyway. Soooo many layers and angles!

Dropped in a solid Sunday of painting and got the scouts finished.

Gotta get some better photos, but here is a quick and nasty one, plus a few close ups.

Nothing basically, it was in the bottom of a bulk lot that i got for about 150. Also had a box of SoB in there and some other stuff that covered the price completely.

Missing his knife though!
