Will it be the final product name? I don't know.

The concept is a dungeon crawl in an ever-changing labyrinth of Tzeentch, slaying Horrors (that just turn into more, smaller Horrors) and other creatures of Tzeentch.

Woo~ Sad Panda speaks and raises my expectation ten fold with his words! That sounds much better than some of the other rumors we have heard.

Sounds like there'll be some blue horror models included, might pick up a set (or a share in one) for those. Also; I can always use a few more pink horrors.

Sounds exciting. I haven't even clipped half of the Deathwatch minis off their sprues yet, though. But one more boxed set doesn't hurt, right? Right?!

If the designs are nice, of course. Loved the metal horros, kinda like the plastic ones while Tzeentchian Chaos Warriors are a mixed bag for me. I like some off the takes GW had on them, but not all. I dig the feathered and vulture-like aspects and big dudes in silver or blue armour. Other Tzeentch minis that are gaunt or just whorls of things aren't my cup of tea.

(Gaunt is more Slaanesh or Nurgle for me, yes, Nurgle, so many wasting diseases, so little rot and pus IRL)

Looking for a Skaven Doomwheel banner to repair my Nurgle knights.

You're acting like the decision to drop the kits was just made last week, when it most likely was made at the same time they decided to replace WHFB with AOS.

My point is the opposite (and I assumed the second part of the quote), they had time to plan all of this and could have developed some kits for all the factions/boxes that got cut. They could have shown one of the new elves lists, cut some old elves, and introduced a new unit so that people have something to buy. If they know that they will drop all that stuff and shift everything else onto SG then GW is left with 40k and capacity to build the new game (AoS). That means they had time and the capacity to produce stuff for a long time and for some reason the result is that they focused on two factions only with some other stuff sprinkled throughout the release schedule for the rest of us.

And if WHFB was selling that bad then releasing a new game with such a heavy focus on two factions leaves everybody who is not interested in that with nothing to buy (and even less now that they dropped quite a bit of their product). If the decision really were made last week or on a whim then I could understand them not having anything else to sell but I assume they had/have a plan and I can't understand that very heavy focus on two factions for over half a year while the rest more or less withers. How could they hope to surpass WHFB sales if there is not much to buy for a good chunk of their customers? AoS was a break from WHFB and supposed to refresh the whole line for everyone (whatever is left after reorganizing the factions) so all their customers would have something new and interesting to buy and give them the much needed sales in their fantasy segment. And that part is lacking right now.

Gathering the Informations.

Who's to say they don't have stuff planned?

I'm as annoyed as anyone else about the lack of new Elf stuff. I was annoyed as hell about it last year with the Khaine book too.
But really, right now? They've got a schedule they're trying to keep. They've got a story arc they want to do and they're likely not going to shift it.

Additionally they're not going to show off anything new unless they've got the model kits ready to go on sale. It just isn't happening.

Sprues on Stormcasts are 2014, so I'd say there's probably a 2 year window they work on.

With as well as they did with DW, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt on this one.

Seems as FF is not pushing GW items as much anymore since they have launched into Star Wars. Maybe GW grabbed one of their staff and hold him in the dungeon?

I really hope Tzeentch is going to be more than horrors and demons. I've never enjoyed that part and I'm hoping for bad ass warriors like Khorne Bloodbounds or Blightknights or I'll just pass.

I wonder if it will have any cross compatability with Deathwatch: Overkill? or Execution Force? Call in the Assassins or Marines to deal with the Tzeentchian hordes?

I very much doubt it but could be a good selling point all the same.

About eight months of mostly two factions. I know that they have stuff planned but it feel a bit monocultural with this very heavy focus on two factions. A wider spectrum would have been nice for all the people who don't buy Stormcast or Chaos.

They more or less pushed anything that isn't 40k to SG and in my opinion they could have planned all of this a bit more broadly and included stuff for more factions while still focusing one this one story/campaign/two faction business while not neglecting the rest of their customers (even Space Marine releases got slowed down for that if I remember correctly). If WHFB was selling so bad then I would try to sell miniatures to as many people as possible and not artificially restrict my company to just two factions at the start while also crippling releases for my best seller (Space Marines) at the same time.

AoS didn't happen randomly and they could have prepared a wider release spectrum to grab as many of their old customers as possible at the start of it instead of pushing most of them in some sort of time-out until they have something to sell. The discontinued old stuff just means that these people, even if they wanted to buy stuff, get a continuously reduced selection. I don't know If this is supposed to tempt people into buying Stormcast (when there's nothing else to buy) but the result seems to be the opposite and people just don't spend the money on GW.

Sad Panda mentioned that the new board game was ready to go when the starter set was released. If the board game contains heroes for every Order faction as I have seen rumoured, they could have easily released new heroes for each faction upon game launch and had something for every player to purchase.

But then again, I am sure the heroes in the board game are meant to be one of its selling points, and the pull becomes weaker if they had of already released heroes for each race. So I can see why GW did what they did.

False rumors about "all" the GDs being finished are oddly persistent.

While the LoC was finished only recently (and is not in this box), the design team did start off this larger project with some smaller AoS Beastmen minions (technically Birdmen, I suppose) of Tzeentch. Watch out for those.

Birdmen as in small minion LoCs? That would be very cool. Interest in this board game went from 0 to 5, all depends on the heroes in the box now.

I have many WHFB armies and did not switch to AoS.
Did not see a reason to.

But since a week i am thinking about my how to build my Silver Tower of Tzeentch.
And that i might move my chaos miniatures from square to round bases; it's my smallest WHFB army (number of miniatures, not points) anyway.

GW's AoS is getting my attention...

But I wanted TIGERmen, like the one in the 6th ed army boob for BoC

Nah, thanks for the rumours. But I'll pester you for more if that's okay Are those birdmen in the boxed game or a kit like Blight Kings? Both? Same size as the Kings? Smaller?

I converted a "Carrion Crow" of Nurgle out of the old clampack Nurgle lord, the plague mask cultist head and bloodletter legs, those could be a nice retinue for him IF they're smaller.

Looking for a Skaven Doomwheel banner to repair my Nurgle knights.

Hopefully they'll have a more 'universal' look to them. Would be nice to use some Tzeentch style Beastmen conversions in 40k in place of cultists.

Doesn't sound like there will be much variety in the enemies. Maybe they'll add rules for other stuff in White Dwarf or something. Otherwise they're missing a good opportunity to get people to buy some models they otherwise wouldn't.

Birdmen? I wonder if those were what were in those false world of Regalia rumors before AoS was revealed? Of course, it could've been prosecutor leaks as well.

Sounds really cool all the same. (More daemons for my knights to slay. )

I kept thinking of the Tanaka aliens from Gantz.

I always have associated those with Tzeentch. No clue why,

Skesis- like villains would indeed be cool. Nightmare inducing those things were.
